As a kid, I was 'wasting' my time fishing ponds around my hometown Pazin, which was the only 'sea' I could reach by bike. Then, 25 years ago, my father bought a boat which changed everything. Soon, I was competing on the national level, first as a diver (Croatian champion) and later as a spearfisherman. In 2005, I bought my first boat and started to fish only with artificial lures. As a 'lure man,' the wish for catching Tuna with the spinning rod was strong enough to keep me fishing 20+ days/month no matter the conditions, and finally, in 2015, the results showed up when I hooked 17 Tunas in one single day. I was lucky enough to fish with one of the best Tuna fishermen in the Adriatic Sea, to learn fast, and to enter the big game even faster by hooking up on 100+ Tunas in one season. The latest news is that I was fishing 3 continents in the last 7 months landing close to record or record fish in all three of them. Currently holding a record for biggest Dogtooth Tuna ever landed with rod and reel in Sudan.

PESCA AL BIG GAME TONNO 4 hHo portato i miei tre figli per la nostra quarta uscita mattutina di pesca al tonno con EFISHent ed è stata fantastica, come sempre. Abbiamo avuto abboccate di bluefin tuna in ogni singola uscita — una cosa inaudita nella maggior parte delle fishery. Nikola, Filip e il team di EFISHent sono pescatori incredibili che amano la pesca sportiva, sono ottimi insegnanti in barca e una compagnia assolutamente piacevole. In questa uscita abbiamo sbarcato uno splendido bluefin tuna da 80 kg — guardate il video dell'atterraggio. Se volete avere una vera possibilità di sbarcare un bluefin tuna gigante vicino alla riva in uno scenario mozzafiato dell'Adriatico, questi ragazzi sono la vostra migliore scommessa. Volate a Venezia, Trieste o Pola, esplorate la bellissima penisola istriana, mangiate cibo locale incredibile e avrete più possibilità di agganciare un grande bluefin tuna che quasi in qualsiasi altro posto sulla terra. Difficile fare di meglio!

PESCA A FONDO IN ALTURA • 4 adultiAvevamo solo mezza giornata libera durante le nostre vacanze e abbiamo deciso di dividerla tra le spiagge dell'isola per fare snorkeling e un'uscita di pesca. Prenotare l'uscita di 5 ore con Matija è stata la scelta perfetta — non ci siamo mai sentiti di fretta e abbiamo avuto tutto il tempo per goderci entrambe le attività. Matija è una guida eccellente: competente, simpatico, attento per tutto il tempo, e cresciuto nella zona. Anche la barca era bella e confortevole. Le storie che Matija ci ha raccontato sulle dimensioni del Bluefin tuna mi fanno venire voglia di tornare per dedicarmi a quel tipo di pesca. Lo consiglio vivamente se avete poco tempo ma volete comunque un'esperienza di pesca di qualità!

PESCA A FONDO D'ALTURA • 3 adulti • 1 bambinoEra la prima volta che andavamo a pescare, io, mio marito e nostro figlio di 9 anni. Nikola ha organizzato un'uscita fantastica per noi, si sente la sua passione per il mondo del mare, sa dove andare e cosa fare. Questo ci ha regalato esperienze incredibili per tutti noi. USCITA DI MEZZA GIORNATA 4H • 3 adultiSiamo andati a fare spinning per Lampuga (Mahi Mahi), Leccia, Pesce serra ecc. per depennare alcune specie dalla nostra lista dei desideri. Il capitano è un vero professionista e molto esperto. È stato in grado di spiegare esattamente dove e come pescare, le caratteristiche di ogni spot e le abitudini delle specie che stavamo mirando. Ci siamo spostati velocemente e abbiamo coperto molto territorio per trovare il pesce, il che ha portato rapidamente al successo per entrambi. Avrei voluto portare qualche jig e artificiale da superficie in più, perché alla fine abbiamo usato quelli per tutto il tempo; per fortuna ne avevamo messi qualcuno in valigia per l'uscita, quindi è andata bene. Nel complesso un'esperienza fantastica. Possiamo assolutamente consigliarlo e torneremo l'anno prossimo.

In last few weeks we moved our boat south. Warmer sea and better conditions around Pula means more fish down there at the moment. We are happy to say that bottom fishing is HOT and we are landing some of the tastiest fish that Adriatic can offer.
