As we passed Santa María, approximately 5 miles offshore, we experienced an exciting double sailfish strike. Both fish attacked our spread, but only one was successfully hooked and landed. The crew brought the sailfish aboard for photographs, and the guests decided to keep their catch and have it frozen afterward. We continued fishing and changed our course toward the Lighthouse area, searching for additional activity. During this part of the trip, another sailfish struck our spread, but unfortunately, the strike did not result in a catch. After completing our fishing route, we returned to Cabo San Lucas Marina at approximately 1:30 PM with one sailfish aboard. Double Sailfish Release – Pacific to Sea of Cortez Offshore Adventure (October 18) Description On Sunday, October 18, ADRENALINA 2.0 departed Cabo San Lucas at 6:00 AM for an 8-hour offshore fishing charter, heading toward the Pacific side in search of billfish and other exciting game fish. We started the morning trolling a spread consisting of one Rapala, four artificial trolling lures, and two dead mackerel baits. Our initial route took us toward Rancho San Lucas, but despite covering productive fishing grounds, we had no strikes during the first part of the trip. We then turned back toward the Lighthouse, working approximately 4 miles offshore. While passing the waters off Hard Rock Hotel, our patience paid off when a beautiful sailfish aggressively attacked the short dead mackerel bait. The fish hooked up, giving our anglers an exciting battle before we successfully brought it to the boat and completed a safe catch and release. With one sailfish already released, we continued searching for more action, adjusting our course in a zigzag trolling pattern to cover additional water. Approximately two hours later, our second opportunity arrived when another sailfish struck the spread. After another successful fight, we brought the fish to the boat, took photographs, and released our second sailfish of the day. We then continued toward the Sea of Cortez, searching for additional offshore species. While passing approximately 1 mile off Arroyo Sucio, a wahoo attacked our spread. Unfortunately, the fish did not stay hooked, but it provided one final moment of excitement before returning to the marina. Wahoo & Mahi Mahi – Pacific Afternoon Action (September 1) Description On the afternoon of September 1, ADRENALINA 2.0 departed Cabo San Lucas at 2:00 PM for our only fishing trip of the day, heading toward the Pacific side. While trolling past Rancho San Lucas, the first strike came from a wahoo, which aggressively attacked a black-and-purple Nomad lure. After a fast fight, the crew successfully landed the fish and brought it aboard. We continued trolling along the Pacific coast until reaching the Margarita area, where we turned around and began working our way back toward Cabo. During the return, a mahi mahi (dorado) struck a blue Flying Fish feather. The fish was successfully hooked and landed, adding a second quality species to the afternoon. We returned to Cabo San Lucas Marina at approximately 7:10 PM with one wahoo and one mahi mahi aboard.
