Hottuna Hurghada Fishing – 24' 

We had a family vacation in Makadi Bay. I love fishing, so I decided to plan a fishing trip. I checked a lot of different companies on the internet, but Hottuna Hurghada Fishing was the most favorable for me. I spoke with them and saw that they are professionals and well-equipped, so I decided to go with them. I wanted a good experience, not just an average tourist fishing trip and pay a lot of money for it. We checked the weather and the date of the fishing to make the most of our time. We got a transfer from the hotel and arrived at the harbor. The boat was a mid-sized fishing boat perfect for this kind of adventure. We received a warm welcome and immediately started fishing. First, we started with trolling while heading towards the "Tuna Spot," but unfortunately, we had no luck. When we arrived, we put baitfish on the hook. They explained every technique and answered all my questions. I learned a lot of new things from them, which meant a lot to me. After an hour, the wind started blowing, but the whole crew did their best with various techniques and baitfish. Suddenly, one of the lines started moving, and we got a bite. Unfortunately, the first catch got tangled in the buoy, but they skillfully solved the problem, and we caught a skipjack of about 10 kg. Thirty minutes later, we caught the second fish, which was a beautiful yellowfin tuna weighing between 35-40 kg. The team helped throughout the fight, providing a huge and unique experience. In addition to these, we also lost a bigger tuna that snapped the line. On the way back, we stopped at a place for surface fishing for my sake, but unfortunately, we couldn't catch a GT. Summing up, it was one of the best fishing experiences of my life. I have fished in many places and with many teams, but I have never met such an organized, well-equipped, and helpful team! I highly recommend them to everyone for fishing, and we will return to them soon!

The Trip was a success from start to finish! We were 5h on the sea with a team of 3 people (+ me and my friend) which made it a real private experience for us. We cought 3 fish: one 25kg Tuna, one smaller sort of a tuna and a roughly 140cm needle fish! After that, they prepared and served the needle fish right on the boat for us with some rice and salad, we even got some caviar in the fish. Overall, it was easily the best fishing trip we had in Hurghada and it is 100% worth the money. The Crew was super nice and constantly making sure that we got the best out of this Trip. Would highly recomend it for beginers and experienced fishers as well! :)

Hello to all, I had my first tuna fishing experience with Atef and his crew. Everything went perfectly! The transfer from the hotel went well. The boat is spacious, I spent the day with my girlfriend, she could sunbathe and read on a bench located on the second floor of the boat. Farouk cooked fresh fish for us in the morning and it was delicious. Atef and his crew are real passionate and benevolent fishermen, they are very attentive to your expectations and wishes. They will do everything to make sure you have the best day possible. Fishing level : we went to the tuna spot by trailing. Once arrived on the spot the team baited with anchovies, after 1 hour of waiting the tuna arrived, I broke on a tuna of more than 50kg. Then the bonito arrived, we had touches in all directions. I caught 13 of them, all between 5kg and 9kg for fights between 10 and 20 minutes each. What a day, best of my life ! Thanks a lot to Atef and his crew ! I highly recommend it and I will come back next year to catch the « yellow bus » !

Atif picked us up at 5:30 in front of our hotel at Makadi Bay and we went directly to the harbour. His crew was already preparing the nice big boat and we startet some minutes later. The name Hot Tuna is program. The first fish we caught was our target fish, a yellow fin tuna 15-20kg. We were fishing all day long and caught 3 GT's and around 10 skip jack. One skip jack was prepared on board for a delicious lunch. All of the crew took so good care of us. Me and my girlfriend had an incedible time and it was the best fishing trip for us so far. Exhausted and happy Atif drove us back to our hotel at 5 pm. We will come back for sure. Thank you again.

I have fished all around the world and never have I been so impressed by a crew. Faruk did not take his eyes off the ocean from the moment we left the Harbour which resulted in us catching 12 hard fighting skipjack tuna, out catching all the boats around us. His experience was invaluable to the success of the day. I have been on some fishing trips where once the lures are in the crew switch off. Faruk was searching for fish the whole day. Incredible man! George was very helpful in showing me the different ways they try and catch fish in Egypt, from trolling with each different type of lure for the specie they are targeting, to drop fishing off the bottom, to the electric techniques they use for giant squid. I didn’t think there was that much to learn from fishing but I came away surprised how much I learnt! The boat had soft comfortable seats at the back which meant my girlfriend could relax in the sun all day, even though she took a couple of hits fighting the tuna with guidance from George. We both said how professional yet friendly they both were all day with her as well. George’s English was word perfect so communication was never an issue. We felt like we were with two guys fishing as their hobby rather than there to make money. Which is rare! We had been our way longer than the 8 hours advertised when on the way back trolling we had 5 hits in quick succession so we circled back to try and catch more. I think we were out about 11 hours in total. I couldnt recommend this trip any higher! Mike and Chloe

Ryad and his team do a great job. They really want to get you on the fish and do everything they can to make sure you get it. You can also try different fishing methods. We had a wonderful experience with a carpet of thousands of skipjack tuna, of which we were able to land one. Ryad knows the waters well and takes excellent care of the guests - a service you could wish for from any skipper. Keep it up and all the best for the future!

we fished for 3 days and had 3 fantastic days with good catches The crew is very helpful and do everything they can to catch fish The food was very tasty and sufficient we will definitely come back

The captain and crew are experienced fishermen, who know the local waters. Only downside, is trip is from 10 am to 4 pm, which means worst of the sun the whole trip. Not much of a downside, if you are all night party type, and can handle the harsh desert sun reflecting off the water all day. I would prefer a 5 am to 11 am like most places I have fished all over the world. All said, I will do this again in the winter months, when the Tuna are running.
