Captain Bob was extremely knowledgeable about the area and put us on the fish early. He also took time to make sure each person in the group understood the techniques no matter the experience of each person in our group! I would recommend this to anyone who wanted a great experience. Very friendly, informative, prepared and knowledgeable. He did a great job adapting to the hot water and outrunning rainstorms/waterspouts so we could continue fishing. Keep us on fish all morning using several different techniques and bait. Very helpful on what and when to do things. Made the trip very fun and stress-free. Lots of laughter, music and some fish. Will definitely recommend to others to use as their Captain.

We met Captain Bob at the marina at 8 am. The marina was very nice, clean and quiet. It was a pleasure meeting Captain Bob and being a guest of his on his boat. My sister and I had never done any type of professional fishing and we both now feel like we can enter any kind of professional fishing contest and win! 🙂. Captain Bob was very pleasant, kind, and extremely knowledgeable; not just about fishing but about the rules on the water, local history, and local areas and where to go for certain fish. He made us feel extremely welcome and was very patient with two newcomers. His choice of music was top-notch. You can't be classic vinyl on XM Satellite Radio. He took all sorts of pictures of us throughout the trip and took a picture of us with every single fish that we caught. We will definitely fish with him again. It was such a fabulous time and we completely enjoyed ourselves.

    Was a great trip with Captain Bob. We caught some flounder and tried to catch oter fish with different techniques and live bait. Hung a few but didn't get them in. Overall it was a great and beautiful day out on the water.

    Great morning and early afternoon with Captain Bob on Strange Magic. Bob did a great job moving us around to get us on some fish. Caught around 8-10 flounder and a few lizard fish.

    We really enjoyed our trip today with Bob in the Strange Magic. He has a great personality and provided an entertaining trip. During our trip we learned about the area and how to catch the local species. There were times of feast and famine like any fishing trip but there was never a dull moment and we came back to the marina having caught a bunch of fish and making new memories. I would highly recommend his guide service and a great all around experience.

    I had wanted to book a local charter for a few years now. My two sons are completely new to fishing and I was just hoping for a day of good weather and maybe a fish or two. Captain Bob Strange of Strange Magic Fishing Charters turned out to be an ideal choice! We went out with him early Tuesday morning for a half-day trip. Bob was really terrific and even educated us while underway on the natural features and wildlife of this beautiful part of the country. He pointed out several Bald Eagles along the way! When it was time to fish, Bob showed the boys how to cast and then use various techniques for the different species we were after. In only a half-day, we fished the ocean just off the Little River inlet jetties and then fished the inlet itself. We then worked our way north through the Intracoastal Waterway, fishing near docks, piers and creeks entering the ICW. On the day, we fished with cut bait, then Gulps and spoons and finally with live minnows popped behind a bobber. We ended up with quite a mixed bag! Ribbon fish, croakers, sea bass, a sea perch, some nice fluke and a beautiful pompano. We kept only the pompano. Back at the dock, Captain Bob fileted the fish and, on his suggestion, we took it over to nearby Crab Catches Restaurant in Little River, where they cooked it for the boy’s lunch! Both boys agreed that this fresh, white-meat pompano was the lightest and tastiest fish that they had ever eaten. In summary, I was just hoping for a day of good weather and that the boys would have a good time and might be inclined to continue fishing in the future. Captain Bob and Strange Magic Charters made this very likely to happen! If you’re looking for a great day on the water, I highly recommend Captain Bob and Strange Magic Charter for your next fishing trip!

    We had a blast on our trip with Capt. Bob. Everything we needed was included, he took us to multiple locations, and made sure we were having fun. Our son is 9 and he had a great time too (normally he can't sit still more than 5 minutes). We will be back for another trip!

    We had a great time fishing with Bob. We stayed in the intercoastal waterway, so there was less transit and more fishing! Beautiful sightseeing along the way. He was helpful and knowledgeable, and easy to get along with. Looking forward to our next trip with Strange Magic!
