Capullo Sportfishing – Rainbow Runner 

Fished a 3/4 day with Gerald and my son was able to catch, land and release a beautiful sailfish! We also saw several pods of dolphin, numerous sea turtles, numerous flying fish and a squadron of manta ray! We caught a couple of other small, trash fish but the sailfish really was the cherry on top of a great trip. Fishing was slow but Gerald worked hard the entire time!

Fishing Capullo Sportfishing was a great experience. Louise (owner) was very helpful and even met us at the beach before our trip. Our guide Gerald was outstanding in make out trip a success. He worked consistently from start to finish on our trip. He is excellent in targeting Roosterfish, which we did catch. I highly recomment Capullo Sportfishing.

Despite it being a very windy day and we were on a small boat, we were still able to catch two red snapper and a Spanish mackerel. Gerard did an amazing job for me and my two boys!

Although only a 22 ft boat, it was comfortable and the boat captain was great. Caught fish!

captain was working really hard to put us on fish on a slow day, still caught a good amount of fish and had caught a monster fish. Captain was very nice and fun to be around. Overall great trip

I had concerns about finding a trip since I didn’t rent a car and didn’t want to rent one. Louise was a savior. She was unbelievably attentive. Quick to answer my questions and quick to line up a shuttle to and from my location. My only ‘ding’ would be the shuttle service. They were a little late (no fault of Louise) and Louise quickly stepped up and added the lost hour to the back end of our trip. Capitan-Gerald was an awesome captain. I can’t say enough about him. He was so kind to me and my two teenagers. My goal was to get my son a sailfish and we did. If I ever make it back to Costa Rica, my fingers will be crossed that he’s still on the water. The owners were there to greet us and ensure we knew which smaller boat to take to the boat we fished off of. They both were very friendly and professional! Boat was small leading to shade sometimes being hard to keep, but the captain was great! It was kind of slow, but he was determined to get us something we could eat that night! Then things picked up and bagged a Mahi, grouper, rock fish and a MASSIVE sailfish! It was a great day. Would definitely go again!
