Inshore: Captain Patrick Kelly **hidden content**) reports that in November fish will only continue to ramp up their feeding, storing up reserves since they are about to lose their bait supply. They know that most shrimp and baitfish will eventually leave and crabs will go into hibernation. Redfish should bite better and better as they start to group up a bit more, and mud minnows, finger mullet, cut mullet, and shrimp will all be good bait choices. The trout bite will accelerate this month as temperatures drop and fish will be caught around the mouths of creeks and current rips in moving water. Trout fishing turned on in late October before temperatures rebounded, but early in November the bite should come back around. Shrimp under a popping cork are usually hard to beat, but as shrimp become harder to find a variety of artificials will work for trout. Flounder will be caught on mud minnows and finger mullet until water temperatures drop into the lower 60s, and black drum will also feed up more and more this month on shrimp and crabs.

Got to spend day 1 of 2 with Mr Eddie and Mark, all the way from Alabama and Georgia today out on the skiff. You couldn’t have asked for a better day! That wind that’s been tough the past few weeks finally slacked off and the fishing was on. Today was BIG trout day and they boated several over 18 and a few 19’s. Reds cooperated and got a limit and still threw back a good one. Good Fishermen and the good news is, we get to do it all over again tomorrow!

We high and clear water and still have a good amount of Bait around which has had the red fish and trout very active and the sight Fishing should be on fire the next few weeks. This is one of my favorite times of year to Fish with hungry fish looking to eat as much as they can before the colder months. We should start to see schools of redfish as the water gets lower but for now we have lots, cruising shorelines along the islands and laying up in sand holes of the grass flats. This is a great time for throwing artificial baits and Fly looks like today is the last day of rain and wind for the next week or two got dates available and it looks like extremely light winds starting Wednesday

    Great Captain!

Capt. Artie went above and beyond to be sure we had a great experience. He was knowledgeable, patient, did not make false promises, but able to help us bring in lots of fish. He knew the fishing regulations and which ones were not the proper size to keep. A fun adventure with Capt.Artie! We'll be back!!

We had a great time with Captain Williams! We caught plenty of fish (Trout, Snapper, and Reds - including a 35 inch Red)! Captain Williams was constantly making sure we had lines with bait in the water & moving us where the fish were biting! Highly recommend!

Redfish, also called Red Drum, are a favorite inshore game fish. Anglers love their power, golden color, and the bold spot near the tail. Redfish fishing is all about sight, stealth, and a clean fight. These fish patrol shallow bays, marshes, and flats, and they crush baits with fast runs.

Most trips use inshore fishing with light tackle. Spinning gear and fly fishing both work well. Live shrimp, mullet, or small crabs are classic baits. Spoons, soft plastics, and topwater plugs also produce action. A popping cork makes a chugging sound that calls fish in. Sight casting means you spot the fish first, then place the lure ahead of it.

Expect calm, shallow water and quick strikes. This is a hands-on style that suits kids, first-timers, and seasoned anglers. Tides and low light often bring the best bite. Bring sun protection, a hat, and polarized sunglasses, which help you see fish in the water. Pack snacks, water, and non-marking shoes. Your captain or guide usually provides tackle and bait.

Rules for Redfish change by state and area. Before your trip, check local license and permit needs. Review season dates, harvest rules, and size and bag limits where you plan to fish. When in doubt, ask your captain and follow best catch-and-release practices.
