    (6hrs fishing trip)

    Fantastic fishing trip

Fantastic fishing trip today aboard the Hustler with Captain Bob and his helper. We all had a brilliant time! The boys absolutely loved it — catching sharks was definitely the highlight, along with loads of mackerel throughout the trip. Captain Bob and his crew were friendly, helpful and made the whole experience really enjoyable. Great day out, plenty of action and some brilliant memories made. Would definitely recommend and we’ll happily come back again!

    we had a excellent time

Made you look fishing charters was an excellent choice. captain Warren is a top bloke and really put a lot off effort in for us to put us on the fish. it was a windy f day so we wernt able to go out side. but Warren spent a lot of fuel and time constantly moving around the bay trying to find the snapper. he also got us our gummy shark he promised and stayed out longer for us to make sure we caught one couldnt find a nicer guy.

Gummy Shark fishing is all about tasty, hard-fighting Sharks that love sandy bottoms. Also called Australian Smooth Hound, this popular sport fish draws anglers for clean fillets, steady action, and fun battles on light tackle.

You can target Gummy Sharks by bottom fishing inshore and nearshore. Focus on sandy or muddy areas, channels, and reef edges. Fresh bait works best. Try squid, fish strips, or crab. Use a simple running sinker rig with a leader and circle hook. Set your drag light, let the fish load the rod, then lift and wind.

Expect patient bites and strong, dogged runs rather than fast sprints. This is relaxed, hands-on fishing that suits beginners and families. It is also great for anglers who enjoy reading tides and structure. Captains or shore guides often supply tackle, bait, and basic instruction. Bring sun protection, layers, non-slip shoes, and a cooler if keeping fish. A headlamp helps for dawn, dusk, or night sessions, when Sharks often feed best.

Before your trip, check local rules for Gummy Shark fishing. Regulations can include licenses or permits, seasonal closures, size limits, bag limits, and gear restrictions. Rules change by area, so review current laws from local authorities. Practice careful handling, use circle hooks to aid release, and follow any harvest guidelines where you fish.
