    Fantastic Experience!!!

    Communication, by Captain Andres, leading up to the fishing day was excellent. He keeps you informed on what’s biting, what to expect for the day, and what you’ll need to make the experience stress-free. Thank you, Captain Andres! The commute to the port was simple and only took about 15 minutes from the city center of Panama City. Don’t be confused by the meet location at the boat ramp, you will be at the right spot. There was even a local gentleman there who was selling Tropical Fruit Popsicles to keep us cool and refreshed before heading out. We knew this was going to be a memorable day on the water as soon as we met our captain, Bernardo, and his mate, Sobri (aka: The Real Captain Jack Sparrow). These guys were all about making the total experience comfortable, fun, and full of action. They did not disappoint, right down to the music they played for us. Our day on the water was absolutely gorgeous and calm. The humid Panama air was quickly forgotten as we made our way out of the port onto the Gulf of Panama. About 20-30 minutes into the trip, Captain Jack Sparrow showed off his navigational skills and intuition to guide Captain Bernardo right into the sweet spot where lines were cast. It didn’t take very long for the reels to start screaming as the Mahi-Mahi started running with our bait. In total we put 4 Mahi-Mahi in the box, as well as a Bonito. As far as a half-day fishing trip, my fishing partner and I were extremely satisfied with the amount of fishing action and time we got with Bernardo and Sobri. The cost was appropriate for the fantastic experience and service received. We felt the half-day experience met our schedule best, but if you have more time to work with, the full-day trip would not disappoint. I know that Bernardo and Sobri would have gotten us on a lot more species of fish with some extra time. Overall, we would give these guys, and Sunrise Charters Panama, 10 stars rather than 5. We gathered that it was their goal to give us what we paid for and more. No corners were cut by these guys. An extra shout out to Maa Goo Fish Tacos for helping turn our catch into a delicious post-fishing meal. We will without a doubt book our next fishing trip with Sunrise Charters Panama when we return.     Great guys great time

    Our crew was Bernardo and Mike. two wonderful gentlemen. there was no language barrier, Bernardo was very fluent in English and Mike was pretty good. we fished for at least 6 hours and then they took us to Tobago Island where we went to one of the little local restaurant huts and they cooked our fish and made lunch for us. Great day with these guys, and very educational on all aspects of the canal and the things around the canal. Do not hesitate to book this trip!

    It was a wonderful day! It was just my wife and me out fishing; Bernardo and Júnior were very attentive and helpful. We caught three skipjack tuna—we didn't catch a mahi-mahi this time, but we had a wonderful day. We highly recommend it!!!

    Panama Fishing Tour

    friendly and accommodating tour without the typical rush to move based on a schedule. Water, juice, sodas, beers and fruits included with plenty to spare. Fishing we caught in total 11 specimens with 7 Mahi Mahi and 4 Tunas. at the aaarival back, all fish was filleted and place in bags for us to take. The Captain even drove us to our AirBnBbin Marbella. An excellent day out with good music, food and plenty of fishing during my birthday. we’ll do it again in a heart beat, highly reccomended.

    Día de pesca en Panamá.

    La experiencia fue increíble. Pásanos súper bien. Tuvimos una muy buena pesca de Jureles en modalidad de trolling y también lo intentamos con Popper ya que veíamos los cardúmenes. Aparte de la pesca fue sorprendente ver especies como delfines, ballenas, tortugas, manta rayas y gran variedad de aves. Gracias Bernardo y Sobri por el gran servicio. Volveremos!

    Fishing Adventure in Cebaco Island – A Week to Remember!! We had the pleasure of welcoming our friend Marco from Germany along with his two best buddies. This trip was months in the making, and it included a full week at our Fishing Lodge on Cebaco Island . Their goal was clear: enjoy the ultimate fishing adventure—and we’re happy to say they achieved it! The week was packed with unforgettable experiences. From casting right off the island’s beautiful coastline, they landed Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, and even a Roosterfish from shore—an exciting first for some of them. But the highlight of the trip came during the boat excursions. Fishing exclusively with poppers and casting techniques, the action was nonstop. The group reeled in massive Cubera Snappers, along with medium-sized ones, Blue Jacks Crevalle , Crevalle Jacks, and more. Watching Marco and his friends celebrate each catch was the best reward of all. It was a week full of laughter, great fishing, and memories that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to welcome more anglers to Isla Cebaco for their own adventure—whether it’s your first time fishing from shore or chasing trophy fish offshore, our lodge and tours are ready to make it unforgettable!

    We felt for the price it was not worth it. We only caught 2 different types of fish from a long list of potentials. Crew didn’t have correct fishing equipment or live bait, they circled one area for multiple hours, they changed the leaving time from 8am to 12pm at last minute. We felt the crew did not put in enough effort to really make the price worth it. They were friendly but we felt they were just making it easier for themselves

    Our captain Bernardo and Mike were great guys who gave their all to ensure we had a great day on the water. When fishing was light, we travelled to Tabago Island where we swam and treaded water with other partyiers. I look forward to my next adventure with these two gentlemen in a few weeks time.

    They totally took care of us and made it a great trip out on the ocean. They did all the setup for the fishing rods and made sure we all set. They took us through some beautiful areas in Panama Bay and finally to Taboga Island for a swim to cool down before we returned. All and all it was a very enjoyable day. Would definitely recommend to others.

    The crew is timely and prepared for our trip. We took the boat out towards the petroleum storage facility and Fish along the Rocky Banks. We caught quite a few needle fish as well as a Jack, but we threw all back into the ocean as they were either not edible or a bit too fishy apparently. Crew was very accommodating in terms of providing snacks and beverages as well as asking us what type of music we wanted to listen to. I would highly recommend them again.

    When I initially booked my charter with Sunrise we were extremely excited until I realized we booked a boat over 2 hours away... Captain Andres immediately addressed the concerns and had a set up with a sister charter boat just five minutes aways from our resort... It saved us a lot of money and time! We hit the wat at 10:30 am. The dolphin swan next to the boat t, the captain found the dirds and we found some fish!!! What a great experience. Thanks for everyone in Panama that made this work for us!!!

Fishing Adventure in Cebaco Island – A Week to Remember!! We had the pleasure of welcoming our friend Marco from Germany along with his two best buddies. Mahi Mahi Time

This day was really full of adventures... We had the full day with the lines in the water all time, captain and mate doing everything possible to have something at the end of the rods ... Until the Mahi Mahi finally appeared ... We almost lost one when mate couldn't hook at the first glance, but at the second cast he did not longer fail. At one point at the day we encountered a group of dolphins and suddenly a sailfish jumping in front of us. We tried looking for him, but he didn't want to play with us at this time. At the end, a day full of experiences and leaving good friends for future adventures.

Excellent offshore fishing ...Good one r

This day could not finish better... Despite all government regulations against the COVID-19, we managed to get ready and obtain permission and go out with few people in the boat maintaining social distancing. Our friend Peter from Canada's plan was to take his teenage son Dallas and have his great first deep sea fishing experience in the are of Las Perlas - Panama. We went out at 6:30 am, necessary schedule to be able to navigate quickly without so much wind and reach the fishing points to start the action. We tried trolling for a few minutes, then we changed to Jigging and captured some fish (snapper, Spanish Mackerel ...). We decided to change again to trolling to find some Mahi-Mahi, however at this time of year the water temperature is already beginning to be cold and this species changes its position... To clear the mind, we stopped at Bartolome Island to enjoy the beautiful waters and virgin beaches of this archipelago, all this to return soon to action and decide to search again a low depth to do Jigging and this time to make a Homerun with several biting until a great Amberjack came up on our boat. Not without first testing the nerves of our friend Dallas, who was consecrated with Rookie of the Year after this experience.

Great day at Taboga. Fishing&Snorkeling

This day the fun exceeded expectations. Our friends from Italy enjoyed seeing dolphins, turtles and whales (they caught us off guard and did not appear in the photos) however it was an experience never to be forgotten. The day was excellent for fishing, multiple hits and several Mackerel. In the end we went to Isla Taboga and relaxed a bit before heading back to the coast.
