Captain Gabriel Alcaraz spent all his life on the beach. He started as a first mate at the tender age of 11, working on commercial fishing boats and charter vessels. Born and raised in the area, Gabriel is a second-generation fisherman who has been guiding for the past 2 decades. Capt. Gabriel even designed his own boat! He runs trips with his son and uncle sometimes.

    Great charter with lots of experience

    We just did a 8 hour trip today and the crew put us on the fish immediately. We scored a mix of bonita and skip jack tuna which is the main target species during this time of year. The boat was comfortable with many spots to sit if its a smaller group. I would not recommend any more than 4 anglers though. We did mix of trolling, gigging, and top water poppers which was fun to switch things up. What i liked the most is that they will let you take 100% control of dropping and reeling the rods. For example, i was dropping a trolling mad mac and got hit on the drop and finished it all the way in. ill be back

    One Of A Kind Adventure!

    i booked this trip as a suprise for my husband and it could not have gone better! The crew was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable on the boat. we had a lucky day and quickly caught 2 jack fish and a tuna while jigging. later on while trolling we caught a mahi mahi! Our captain Angel took us to a beach restaurant that cooked our fresh catches for us in a variety of ways and it was delicious! As a bonus, we also spotted dolphins and humpback whales during the fishing portion; and a sting ray when we snorkeled! Overall, Angel was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The whole crew was friendly and upbeat which made the whole day a lasting memory! My husband is already planning his next trip back with these guys!

    Awesome, Great Time, Good Experience

    It was a last minute plan for our trip…and we booked with Super Panga Tres Estrellas. The first thing I liked was that they contacted me right after booking. Everyone caught fish and had a great time even though we only booked a half day. Captain Gabriel was excellent at navigating the fish and was very helpful throughout the trip. My nephew caught a huge fish…and brought it back to Minnesota to show off to his friends and family. If you are wondering about fishing in Puerto Vallarta, I recommend Super Panga Tres Estrellas for a great experience.

    Catching toros

    Had a great time out on a 6 hour trip. I myself was a little hungover but that all went away with the rush of catching the first large fish. In total we caught 5 fish, the captain made us sashimi and ceviche from the fish we caught! You just can’t ask for a better experience and we will recommend it to everyone wanting to go out on the water!

    Really awesome trip

    It's uncommon to find an excursion in PV that in the end feels worth the money, this felt well worth it! Had we booked in a better time of year/ earlier in the day I'm confident we would have caught some fish. We still had an awesome boat ride certainly the nicer of the boats vs all the other ones on the water. The captains Angel and Charlie were super friendly and awesome with my kid. If they offer to take you to the beach and snorkelling, definitely go!

    Lucero and Angel were kind and helpful. we took a 0700 trip out to fish. Beautiful experience! My boyfriend was excited to catch a type of fish he has never caught before. There is a toilet on the boat for those who have to go. The crew respectfully allowed privacy. At the front of the boat there is enough space and cushion to lay out and take a nap while the others fish :) Which is how i spent half of my time.

    7 AM pick up at los Muertos pier by Angel on the Trea Estrellas boat. We got two Spanish mackerel and one Jack tuna which we thought was large, but Angel said it wasn’t that big. For a six hour trip we had hoped to catch more fish, but it is what it is. We did see humpback whales, which was kind of cool and really totally enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely recommend it fishing is what it is. You may not catch fish. That’s the reality of it. We had a great time.

    Angel and Carlos put in the work to get us on the fish. The swells in PV were 4'+ and there was heavy boater traffic. Angel reached out to other services and got good tips on where to hook up. We caught Crevalle Jacks 12k+. Although not a guaranteed experience, we saw whales breaching, sea turtles, and a Manta Ray as big as a car hood. That Manta was our good luck.... Three rods singing just after sighting. Great job Angel and Carlos. 100% will book again!

    Booked the multiple activity trip with the family on our cruise stop in Puerto Vallarta. Met Alfonso at the Los Muertos Beach Pier. The entry and exit of the boat can be tricky when the wind and waves pick up. We started out trolling for bonito and had a couple interested but did not hook up. Even tried closer to shore for possible rooster fish but also no luck. It was here where I noticed the condition of the fishing gear being in poor shape. The rod tip on one rod would have surely shredded the fishing line if we caught something of size. Also, the first lure wouldn’t track right and the popper was completely rigged wrong with one rusty, extremely dull, treble hook on it so even if a fish decided to bite, the odds of hooking would have been extremely low. However, fishing was not what this whole trip was about with the family and we switched gears to touring the Los Arcos de Mismaloya and national marine park which was amazing to see the rock formations and fish and bird life around the islands. Even saw Blue Footed Boobies which was cool. From there, Alfonso took us to a cool secluded beach where the family laid out, relaxed, played, and had some wonderful fresh ceviche from a local tent setup on the beach. Our captain was flexible for whatever activity we wanted to do which was nice. After having enough of the beach and needing to make our way back we trolled a bit more in hopes of catching something and on our way we spotted a couple young whales breaching and putting on a show. Alas our time had run out so we made our way back to the pier where the water was much rougher so “dismounting” the boat was tricky with all the people on the dock and the rising and falling boat but the captain was skilled in positioning the boat just right for us. Overall it was a fun day exploring the beauty of Puerto Vallarta with the family (mind you this was just a few days before the burning and unrest because of the cartel leader being taken out and hope things return to normal soon). I was a little disappointed in the fishing equipment and hope they invest a little in that but the captain was able to communicate well enough in English with us and performed well in catering to our interests.

    Only got one fish in the boat on a half day trip, but it took an hour to land a big yellow fin tuna. What a fight!
