Charter Length: 5 Hours

Captain: Chewy
Anglers: Paul, Logan and Bryson
Catch: 2 Dorado
Total Game Fish: 2
August 6 produced a memorable father-and-sons fishing experience aboard the 32-foot Luhrs Blue Star. Paul traveled from Southern California with his sons Logan and Bryson for a five-hour private charter with Captain Chewy, and the family finished their morning with two dorado.
The combination of warm summer water, relatively light winds and multiple dorado encounters created a good setting for introducing younger anglers to offshore fishing.
Family Fishing and Dorado Action Around Cabo
The original charter report recorded ocean temperatures of approximately 83–85°F, with air temperatures around 90–92°F and generally light winds.
Captain Chewy worked closely with the family throughout the trip. With younger anglers aboard, the experience included learning how the fishing equipment worked, understanding what to do when a fish struck and receiving guidance while fighting the fish.
That hands-on involvement became an important part of the day.
The offshore search ultimately resulted in two dorado.
Dorado are particularly exciting fish for younger anglers because of the combination of aggressive strikes, fast runs and brilliant coloration. Their green, blue and gold colors can become especially vivid during the fight and when the fish approaches the boat.

Young Anglers Experience Cabo Fishing
For Logan and Bryson, the charter provided more than simply watching adults fish.
Captain Chewy involved the family in the experience and helped the younger anglers understand the process behind offshore fishing. Learning how to respond when a fish strikes and then experiencing the fight firsthand can turn a family vacation activity into a lasting memory.
The two dorado provided separate opportunities for action during the five-hour charter.
Each hookup brought another period of excitement aboard Blue Star as the crew managed the fishing presentation and helped the family through the encounter.
Two Dorado Complete a Family Day
The final result was straightforward: two dorado during a five-hour private charter.
But the value of the morning extended beyond the catch total.
Paul had the opportunity to share an offshore fishing experience with his sons, while Logan and Bryson gained firsthand exposure to Cabo's summer fishery and one of its most colorful game fish.
With Captain Chewy guiding the experience aboard Blue Star, August 6 became a father-and-sons fishing day built around learning, participation and two successful dorado encounters.
