Cabo Dorado Fishing Produces Eight Fish
Dorado dominated the action during the eight-hour charter.
These aggressive offshore predators frequently follow bait concentrations and can also gather around current edges, weed lines and floating debris.
Their combination of speed, brilliant coloration and aerial fights makes dorado one of Cabo's most exciting gamefish.
For only three anglers, eight fish created repeated opportunities aboard the Blue Sky.
Cabo Fishing Presentation Includes the Dredge
Captain Luis and crew incorporated the dredge into the offshore presentation.
A dredge creates the visual appearance of a concentrated school of bait swimming behind the yacht.
It's designed to attract predators toward the active fishing spread, but productive fishing still depends on finding the right water and converting opportunities.
The group also connected with one marlin.
Cabo Marlin Fishing Ends With a Release
Once the marlin committed, the crew managed the remaining lines while Captain Luis positioned the Blue Sky.
The fish was successfully fought to the yacht and released back into the Pacific.
Blue Sky Cabo Fishing and Tours maintains a standing policy of releasing all marlin.
The marlin gave Aaron's group a billfish encounter to complement an already productive day of dorado fishing.
An eight-hour charter also provides additional searching flexibility when bait or productive water moves farther from Cabo San Lucas.
Travel time still counts in both directions, so additional hours create options rather than guaranteed catches.
For this returning group, the combination worked extremely well.
The Blue Sky returned at 2:15 PM after recording eight dorado and one successfully released marlin.
