Wil je indrukwekkende Goudmakreel of Blauwe Marlijn binnenhalen terwijl je het prachtige landschap rond de noordelijke eilanden van Mauritius verkent? Kom aan boord van Horizon Maurice en maak je klaar voor het visavontuur van je dromen!

Schipper Avi Brijmohunsingh Ramchurn komt uit een grote vissersfamilie die al generaties lang de wateren van Grand-Baie verkent. Hij kan niet wachten om zijn schat aan kennis en ervaring te gebruiken om je kennis te laten maken met echt eilandvissen. Schipper Avi en zijn bemanning besteden veel aandacht aan het getij en de lokale weersverwachting, en ze gebruiken dit om je naar de beste plekken te brengen. Maak je klaar om je droomvangst binnen te halen!

Je vaart aan boord van een indrukwekkend 40' Speville Craft performance vissersvaartuig. Ze biedt plaats aan maximaal 6 gasten. Je vaartuig heeft voldoende ruimte voor het drillen van biggamevis, evenals een drilstoel. Er is ook een binnencabine waar je kunt ontspannen. Ze is uitgerust met alle benodigde navigatie- en veiligheidsapparatuur, inclusief zwemvesten voor kinderen.

En welke soorten kun je vangen? Het draait hier allemaal om biggamevissen! Goudmakreel, verschillende soorten Tonijn... en vergeet niet de hoofdattractie, serieus grote Blauwe Marlijn of Zwarte Marlijn! Deze vissen zijn ontzettend leuk om te drillen, of je nu een beginnende of ervaren visser bent. Je schipper en bemanning hebben verschillende lokaas beschikbaar die geschikt zijn voor verschillende vistechnieken, zoals trollen, jiggen, popping, werpen en diep duiken. Je wordt ook uitgerust met eersteklas Shimano hengels en molens.

Je wordt ook getrakteerd op een assortiment aan frisdranken en alcoholische dranken. Kom aan boord van Horizon Maurice en maak je klaar om te vissen in het paradijs!

Great morning fishing with Avi

We met Avi this morning, who is the most helpful guy ever. We were out for a morning trip, which sadly we had to cut short due to my youngest being ill. But the experience whilst out was awesome. Lost a small tuna early on, but caught a wahoo later on, to give me my first experience of catching a game fish.

Avi is a knowledgeable,  friendly and guy who goes out of his way to look after his customers. 

If we cam back to Mauritius id definitely go out with Avi again, just leave the kids at home haha.

Avi and Rocky were great!

We met up with Avi at 6:15am at a nice restaurant parking lot. It was a short walk to the anchored boat. Avi explained how we were hunting for specific bird formations to find our target species (mahi). He explained the rigs and strategy we were using well. All very interesting! It was awesome to watch the Mahi skim the surface while hunting baitfish. We also saw schools of flying fish jumping out of the water.

All of our setups were topwater — so you could see a fish approach and strike the lures. We caught 5 fish. Three skipjack tuna and two Mahi, one bull and one female. Overall a great experience!

L'expérience d'une première sortie de pêche au gros était réussie malgré que nous n'avons pas eu la chance d'attraper des poissons.
Je recommande fortement Avi grâce à qui nous avons passé une magnifique matinée, merci !
Le poisson n'était pas au rdv mais la traque des chasse en surface et les explications d'Avi nous ont tout de meme tenu en haleine durant la matinée. 
Je recommande vivement Horizon fishing et reviendrai dès que possible.

You would be asking me why I am giving a 5 star when we did not actually catch fish. The experience was great. We learnt a lot. We could see the crew were trying everything they could. I had gone to another fishing trip in Mauritius a week before with another charter. Even though we caught fish on that trip, next time, I would still book qith Horizon.
