Ontmoet de schoonheid en diversiteit van het mariene leven in Belize met Captain Nato. Captain Nathaniel (Nato) Verde heeft meer dan 20 jaar ervaring als visgids en is ook een geboren en getogen bewoner van de grootste visgemeenschap van Belize. Hij neemt u mee om te vissen aan de noordkant van het eiland en gedeeltelijk centraal Belize, inclusief binnenlагunes, rivieren, riffen en wadbare vlaktes.

Capt. Nato neemt u mee vissen op zijn 24' flats boot, nieuw gebouwd in 2017. Er is voldoende ruimte voor 2 gasten om comfortabel te vissen. De boot wordt aangedreven door een 70 PK Yamaha motor, met een maximale vaarsnelheid van 35 knopen. Ze heeft ook een boomsplatform, koelboxen en een leefaastank.

U kunt vissen op de zoutwatervlaktes naar Tarpon, Permit en Bonefish, in het achterland naar Snook, of gaan naar het op één na grootste barrièrerif ter wereld voor Snapper, Jack Crevalle en Barracuda. U kunt spinvissen of vliegvissen, informeer de kapitein vooraf of hij visuitrusting kan leveren.

De trip omvat ook snorkeluitrusting op verzoek, lunch, water en andere frisdranken. Na de trip zal hij uw vangst schoonmaken en fileren. Het enige wat u van tevoren moet regelen is uw visvergunning.

Captain Nato was one of the hardest-working and most professional fishing guides I’ve ever had the pleasure of fishing with. From start to finish, he put in a full day of effort and expertise, consistently putting me on fish—from bonefish to tarpon to permit.
His years of experience really show, and his knowledge of the water is exceptional. What stood out even more was his passion—it’s clear he genuinely loves what he does, and that energy made the entire experience even better.
Thank you, Captain Nato, for an unforgettable day on the water. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top-tier fishing guide!

Professional Flats Guide

Half day trip fly fishing or spinfi op March 26, 2026 • 1 volwassene

Went out with Capt Nato and his son for 1/2 day of flats fishing.  My saltwater fly casting technique was a little rusty but Capt Nato was a great instructor and I soon had my ‘double haul’ working again.  Great fly rods, reels, and flies along with an asortment of spinning  gear.  Boat was well organized and comfortable.  Although the weather did not cooperate with rain and wind most of the morning, the Capt found and put us on several schools of bonefish based on his extensive knowledge of the waters surrounding Ambergris Caye.  I will definitely go out with him again when back in Belize.  

If you are looking for a professional flats fishing guide who will coach you to make you better, Capt Nato is your guy.

Incredible day fishing in Belize! Captain was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. We caught bonefish, yellow snapper, barracuda, and snook, and had an amazing time from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun and successful fishing trip

Amazing first day flats fishing!

I had an amazing day out with Captain Nato, which also happened to be my first time on the flats! The guidance was excellent, I was put into a school of a thousand Bones within 20 minutes of leaving port. Listen to any advice he gives you and genuinely be curious, ask the questions you want to know as he is passionate about where he lives and what he gets to do.
Thanks Nato, I’ll be back for sure!

My favourite fishing guide experience in Belize

Full Day Trip – Fly Fishing/spinfis op January 18, 2026 • 1 volwassene

Capt. Nato creates a great atmosphere on the boat and someone you can easily spend alot of time with.

Give him time and you will realise how much he knows about the local environment and the fish behaviours. A true master. 

Nato helped me significantly improve my fly cast. He’s a good coach and supportive. He’s worked at some of the well known fishing lodges so perhaps from this. 

My favourite of the few guides i’ve spent time with. Thank you Nato i hope to be back
