Ocho Rios Fishing Adventure is een perfecte charter voor alle beginnende vissers. Schipper Anthony is gespecialiseerd in het leren van anderen hoe ze hun eerste vis kunnen vangen of hun vaardigheden naar een hoger niveau kunnen tillen. Met hem aan je zijde raak je snel gewend aan het materiaal en leer je herkennen wanneer je moet beginnen met binnenhalen.

De trip begint op een 28' Wharewarf boot die plaats biedt aan maximaal 4 gasten. Het vaartuig wordt aangedreven door een 40 PK Yamaha motor en is uitgerust met een GPS, een koelbox, outriggers en snorkeluitrusting.

Een beginner zijn betekent niet dat je genoegen moet nemen met kleine vis uit ondiep water. Richt je hoger en krijg binnen een paar uur grote vis aan de haak. Schipper Anthony neemt je mee naar open zee, waar je kunt vangen op Goudmakreel, Zeesnoek, Tonijn, Koningsmakreel, Wahoo en zelfs Zeilvis. De trips duren van 2 tot 4 uur, dus je hoeft je niet te committeren aan een hele dag op het water als dat niet je comfortzone is.

Alle visuitrusting is bij de prijs inbegrepen, evenals flessenwater en het schoonmaken van de vangst. Je hoeft alleen wat snacks, een hoed en een zonnebril mee te nemen.

Kinderen zijn welkom om mee te doen en hun eigen kans te krijgen om hun eerste trofee te vangen. Wie had gedacht dat leren zo leuk kon zijn.

Rainy but fun

We had a great time fishing this morning. He was there early to pick us up, so we didn't need to wait. He pointed out wildlife while on the water, starting with a flying fish! We could even see our resort and the cruise port while we were out. It ended up raining while we were fishing, but Captain Anthony just kept going as if nothing was happening. He even warned us when the rain was going to start. We asked to go in a little bit early, but he made sure we knew it was up to us to decide if we wanted to go in. We still had a great experience. We got a beautiful shot of a rainbow at the end of the trip. I highly recommend fishing with Captain Anthony.

We had an absolutely amazing day out on the water with Anthony. From the moment he picked us up to the moment he brought us back, everything was incredibly professional, smooth, and genuinely heartfelt. Anthony is not only an expert at what he does, but also one of the kindest and most welcoming people you could hope to meet.

Even though we didn’t catch anything this time, the experience itself was unforgettable beautiful scenery, great company, and a guide who truly cares about making your day special. I left feeling completely happy and grateful, and I’m already looking forward to the next trip. Hopefully the big catch will be waiting for us then!

Great day of Jamaican Fishing!

My experience started out with excellent and prompt communication. Everyone was as friendly and professional as could be. Ten minutes in, fish on! A small blackfin tuna. About 40 mins later, hooked into and landed a 30# wahoo. 30 mins after, another tuna. Then lost what was likely another small tuna. Finally got triple whacked by a good size kingfish that sadly didn't stick. The crew worked hard, regularly changing up lures and trying different spots, looking for the lucky combination. Their eyes constantly scanning the horizon for birds and bait. They handled their boat expertly over the shallow sandbar between the ocean and river we left from. I have zero complaints or criticisms. Fair prices, flawless service, lots of fun. I highly recommend booking with these guys. Thanks so much for a great trip! Tight lines!

We had a fabulous time. Anthony picked us up bright and early at the resort right on time. We booked only a two hour trip but recommend three or more to be safe. We caught a barracuda, super exciting. The weather was perfect and the captain navigated the waves so well. I wish we had booked a half day to spend more time. He was so personable and friendly, as was his mate who navigated at the bow. Cannot stress how professional everyone is, and it was definitely worth the value. A++++

Really a great trip!

Captain Anthony and his first mate were excellent. He was funny and kind. We had really big ocean swells that day after a storm and one in our group got sea sick and Captain Anthony was very kind and compassionate. He offered to take her back but she wanted to continue and actually ended up catching a nice yellow finned snapper. It was a good trip and we thoroughly enjoyed it!
