Afhankelijk van het seizoen kun je Redfish, Gevlekte Ombervis, Trommelvis, Schaapskopbrasem, Amerikaanse Bot vangen, en wie weet wat nog meer! Je kunt verwachten dat je gaat Poppen, driftvissen, bodemvissen, of misschien iets meer gespecialiseerds in dit gebied.

Kinderen zijn welkom, dus neem gerust het hele gezin mee! Kinderen moeten zwemvesten dragen, dus vraag na of de juiste maat aan boord beschikbaar is. Mogelijk moet je voor de trip een lokale visvergunning aanschaffen. Deze informatie is meestal online beschikbaar, of je kunt het aan de schipper vragen.

Je bevindt je aan boord van een 25,5ft Center console die tot 4 passagiers kan vervoeren. Het schip is uitgerust met alles wat je nodig hebt voor een productieve dag op het water, plus een multimediasysteem om je favoriete muziek af te spelen! Kapitein Alexander zorgt voor hengels en molens. Levend aas is beschikbaar, maar vraag er zeker naar zodat je weet of je het zelf moet vangen.

Je kunt niets fout doen als je een zonnebril, flessenwater en zonnebrandcrème (geen spray) meeneemt. Drankjes en water zijn gratis inbegrepen. Alcohol is in matige hoeveelheden toegestaan, maar probeer sterke drank en glazen flessen te vermijden.

5 Hour Trip - Bay Trip op August 13, 2025 • 3 volwassenen

Went out with Capt. Alex last week and due to the extreme heat we had been having in Corpus, my expextations were not very high. I just wanted to get on the water and spend some quality time with the family. Let me tell you, it was a grind to get the fish we caught, but Capt. Alex made sure he was prepared for every  possible scenario. We fished the top, then the bottom, then back on top, and back on bottom. He had 3 types of live bait and even a bit of dead bait which we used. Capt.  Alex was amazing at getting us on the fish we caught. He was patient and took the time to teach everyone on how to cast and catch fish. He had water and gatorade for us, his boat was clean , and he had some of the best gear I have seen so far. This is my 4th charter and now I know why he has 5 star reviews. This will be my go to Capt.  far all future inshore charters. Thank you for an amazing time Capt. Alex, everyone had fun for the exception of that trout I turned into Ceviche!!!!

4 Hour Trip - Solo shot op June 11, 2025 • 1 volwassene

Fished with Alex yesterday and had an incredible trip. We limited out on trout early and released several more before switching things up to target reds—ended up boating a beautiful oversized redfish to top it off. The day started with a heads-up text from Alex about an incoming storm, but instead of canceling, he waited it out for over four hours to make sure we still got on the water. It paid off big time.

The boat was clean, well-stocked, had plenty of shade, and Alex was on point the entire time—bait ready, rods set, always one step ahead. If you’re considering a trip, don’t hesitate. Book with Alex at Zander Ray on The Bay—you won’t regret it

4 Hour Trip - Late Bird op August 30, 2025 • 2 volwassenen

Caught 24lbs of fish on a slow day. Alex did an excellent job finding fish and knew where all the good spots were. He is an excellent teacher for our first time fishing for drum fish, but we also caught several other species of fish. My girl caught the motherload, and I caught a lady. It was easy to coordinate trip details with him. He was a great buddies and talkative. He helped us get our fish cleaned and bagged and told us about some great restaurants that would cook our catch. Zander is a cool dude.

My 3 nephews and I booked an am trip with Captain Alex. He was super informative and helped my nephews perfect their skills. While the morning started off slow, Captain Alex worked hard constantly searching to put us on the fish. As the day progressed we started catching more and more. Towards the end he spotted schools of Reds and we all were catching good sized ones. On top of the reds, we caught some trout and drum. Amazing experience and will hopefully be lucky enough to book him on our next trip to Port A.

Alex was great to fish with; he was knowledgeable about where and how to fish.  He had us casting like pros by the end of the trip.  He was quick with new bait and a line repair when needed.

We caught 9 keeper reds and we threw back just as many that were just under the required size. We got back to dock late and Alex cleaned our catch and gave us helpful suggestions on how to cook and prep the fillets.

If we get the opportunity again we would book with Alex without hesitation.  We had a great time!
