Breng de dag door met schipper Tayo en werp je lijn uit naar je dromen over de flats van San Pedro! Met jarenlange ervaring met de maan en getijden kent schipper Tayo deze wateren van voor naar achter.

Deze wateren staan bekend om Gratenvis, Permit, Tarpon, Binnensnoek, Paardmakreel, Grote Barracuda's, Paardmakreel, Makreel, Batjauwvis, Knorvis, Ladyfish (Elops), Grijze Zeebaars (Grijze Snapper), Meerval en meer – met een beetje geluk ontdek je het zelf!

Op deze trips is vliegvissen het beste. Maakt niet uit of je een beginner of een professional bent. Schipper Tayo biedt ook trollen en bodemvissen aan met licht materiaal of spinvissen, maar mogelijk moet je je eigen uitrusting meenemen. Als je geen vliegvishengel of spinhengel hebt, zal de schipper je helpen.

Je bent welkom aan boord van een 23' flats boot met ruimte voor 2 passagiers. Het heeft alles wat je nodig hebt voor een productieve dag op het water. Hengels en molens zijn niet inbegrepen, maar als je er geen hebt, zal schipper Tayo ze voor je regelen. Vraag zeker naar aas en kunstaas, levend aas is inbegrepen maar vraag er zeker naar zodat je weet of je het zelf moet vangen.

Een eerste maat zal aanwezig zijn om ervoor te zorgen dat alles soepel verloopt. Maats werken hard om je trip te laten slagen, dus een fooi van 10-20% is gebruikelijk.

Je moet voor de trip een lokale visvergunning kopen. Deze informatie is meestal online beschikbaar, Bron: (Coastal Zone Management Authority & Institute | CZMAI) of je kunt het aan de schipper vragen. Sommige soorten kunnen beschermd zijn of een tag vereisen om ze te houden, dus zorg ervoor dat je weet wat je kunt verwachten.

Een paar dingen om mee te nemen: zonnebril, zonnebrandcrème en UV-kleding. Drankjes zijn beschikbaar voor je, water, frisdrank en ijs. Alcohol is toegestaan in matige hoeveelheden, maar niet inbegrepen in het pakket. Er zal lunch en wat lichte snacks aan boord beschikbaar zijn.

great trip even though no tarpon!

Special 6 hour trip for Ashley Leopold op March 29, 2026 • 1 volwassene

The captian gave me a good deal, pricewise! my main goal was to catch a tarpon, but unfortunately, we were not successful. We ended up finding a rolling group of them, but couldn’t successfully hook on. The captain searched really hard to find more, but we were not successful. We stayed an hour past the allotted time and I had to call it quits. You could tell he really wanted me to get that tarpon.

Besides that I did catch three barracuda, two bonefish and a Jack.

I appreciated the captains passion for fishing and commitment to getting me the catch. I never really saw him on his phone. It seemed like he was always looking at the water trying to find signs of fish. I appreciate that because you don’t see that a lot nowadays.

Our experience fishing in Belize with Captain Tayo and his crew was absolutely outstanding. During our visit, we spent three full days on the water with them, and every day was memorable. From the moment we started, the service was seamless—Captain Tayo conveniently picked us up directly from our hotel dock, which made everything incredibly easy and stress-free.

Throughout our trip, we had the opportunity to experience a wide variety of activities. We went offshore fishing and caught snapper, targeted tarpon, and even spent time conch diving and lobster diving. Captain Tayo and his crew are incredibly knowledgeable about the local waters and made sure we were always in the best spots to catch fish and enjoy the experience.

One of the highlights of the trip was feeding the tarpon—something we had mentioned wanting to do. Captain Tayo made it happen and ensured we got to experience it up close. It was an unforgettable moment for our whole group.

What made the trip even more special was how accommodating the crew was with our family. We had two kids with us, and they had an absolute blast. The crew was patient, friendly, and made sure the kids felt involved and safe while still keeping the adventure exciting.

Tayo, and his deckhand who's name alludes me, were AMAZING!! Got us on bonefish minutes from the dock......worked schools all morning. So hard to leave fish to find fish, but we wanted a species day and  they provided.....got on a school of Permit and landed a beauty!!! Just the right amount of chatter, instruction and playful banter! Great guys......be ready for a workout and practice your long casts, you'll need it!!!

Incredible Experience

Half day on the flats! op March 5, 2026 • 2 volwassenen

Haziel was an amzing guide, spotted bonefish from far away and put us in the perfect position to get a shot at them. The boat positioning was perfect all day long even though the wind was strong. Highly recommend to any fisherman, would absolutely book this trip again, the only thing I would change would be to do a full day instead of a half!
