Afhankelijk van het seizoen kun je Forelbaars, Gestreepte Zeebaars, Witte Baars, Brasem, Meerval, Amerikaanse Zonnebaars, Flathead, Hybrid Striped Bass, Amerikaanse Gele Baars vangen, en wie weet wat nog meer! Je richt je op je vangst door te spinvissen, trollen, jiggen en bodemvissen. Elke vis binnen de wettelijke limiet mag je houden. Het schoonmaken van de vangst is beschikbaar tegen een extra vergoeding.

Je bent welkom aan boord van een 20' Pontoon met een capaciteit voor 4 passagiers. Het schip is uitgerust met alle benodigdheden. Je schipper zorgt voor hengels en molens, samen met kunstaas. Levend aas is beschikbaar, maar vraag er zeker naar zodat je weet of je het zelf moet vangen.

Voordat je aan boord komt, moet je een lokale visvergunning kopen voor iedereen in je groep. Deze informatie is meestal online beschikbaar, of je kunt het aan de schipper vragen. Sommige soorten mogen niet gevangen worden of vereisen een speciale vergunning, dus zorg ervoor dat je weet wat je kunt verwachten.

Lake Conroe Fishing Guide is een kindvriendelijke charterservice, dus haal ze offline en breng ze op het water! Vraag zeker of er kindermaat zwemvesten beschikbaar zijn, anders moet je je eigen meenemen. Het is nooit een slecht idee om snacks, drankjes, zonnebrandcrème (niet-spray), en een zonnebril mee te nemen. Alcohol is niet toegestaan.

Amazing time with Captain Ray Hunt.

Today was the first time my wife and I have hired a guide to take us fishing. Im telling you, we struck GOLD our first time out. We went out with Captain Ray Hunt and we were throughly impressed. From his knowledge, his top of the line equipment, to his ability to teach an old dog new tricks, all the while putting us on some amazing fish. Captain Hunt has the patience needed to teach new fishing techniques to anyone aboard his boat. We both highly recoment Captain Ray Hunt to anyone who wishes to hire a guide for some fresh water fishing. Thank you Captain Ray, we will be scheduling with you again soon.

Great Trip

Half Day Trip op July 14, 2025 • 3 volwassenen

The trip was for my 13 year old granddaughter and 17 year old grandson. The 8:15 start time was much better than  the usual 6:00 or 6:30 start time because we had a 70 mile drive.  Capt.Ray  explained fishing with the cameras which was something new to all of us. He put us on fish immediately. The 13 year old had one on the hook before Capt. Ray could get her brother's hook baited. Between the two of them, they kept Capt. Ray so busy taking fish off the hook and baiting their hooks that it was 15 or 20 minutes before grandpa could get a hook in the water.  The youngest one caught the most fish. The oldest one caught the biggest one at 5lbs. 3 ounces. Both caught a 3 lbs. +. Capt. Ray was very patient and instructive about technique with the kids and it paid off. The goal of the trip was for the kids to catch fish,  have fun and to increase their interest in fishing. The trip was a total success. I would highly recommend a trip with Ray Hunt.

Ray went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable. His pontoon is not only beautiful but also extremely comfortable, stocked with everything you need for a successful and enjoyable fishing trip. What stood out most was how kind and patient he was with my 9-year-old daughter—something that meant a lot to us. This was my fourth guided fishing trip on Lake Conroe, but my first time with Ray, and I can confidently say I won’t be booking with anyone else from now on.

What a great day out!

Captain Ray was highly knowledgeable and skilled. He was very patient with me and my son as he showed us all the best spots to catch some catfish and crappie. The boat and all the equipment was top notch and Captain Ray was a really nice guy to spend the day with. I highly recommend his service to anyone, and we’ll be boookk him again for sure.
