Cancún heeft een vis met jouw naam erop, dus laat Fishing Charters in Cancun je helpen om hem te vangen! Met vele uren ervaring op deze getijden kan schipper Arturo je alles vertellen over de lokale visserij.

Deze wateren staan bekend om Knorvis, Grote Barracuda, Grote Geelstaart, Paardmakreel, Witte Marlijn, Zeilvis, Zwarte Tandbaars, Goudmakreel, Bonito, Horse-eye Horsmakreel, Almaco Horsmakreel, Blauwe Marlijn, en meer – met een beetje geluk heb je in no time beet. Op deze trips kun je verwachten te trollen en te bodemvissen met licht of zwaar materiaal.

Kinderen zijn welkom, dus het hele gezin kan komen en een dagje onthaasten! Als je geen kindermaat zwemvest hebt, vraag dan of er een aan boord is. Vergeet ook niet om snacks mee te nemen, zodat niemand chagrijnig wordt met een lege maag!

Je vaartuig voor de dag is de Billfish, een 30' Phoenix Sportfishing vaartuig met ruimte voor 5 passagiers. Het heeft outriggers, downriggers, een vechtstoel en alle essentiële zaken waar geen vismachine zonder kan. Er is een toilet aan boord voor je gemak. Schipper Eduardo zorgt voor hengels en molens, evenals kunstaas. Levend aas is beschikbaar, maar het is goed om hiernaar te vragen zodat je weet of je het zelf moet vangen.

Een eerste maat zal aanwezig zijn om ervoor te zorgen dat alles soepel verloopt. Het is gebruikelijk om de maat 10–20% fooi te geven om je waardering te tonen.

Voordat je aan boord komt, moet je een lokale visvergunning kopen voor iedereen in je groep. Deze informatie is meestal online beschikbaar, of je kunt het aan de schipper vragen. Sommige soorten kunnen beschermd zijn of een tag vereisen om ze te mogen houden, dus zorg ervoor dat je weet wat je kunt verwachten.

Enkele essentiële zaken om mee te nemen zijn een zonnebril, zonnebrandcrème (niet-spray), flessenwater en een hoed. Alcohol is toegestaan in matige hoeveelheden, zolang je sterke drank en glazen flessen vermijdt.

I booked on line and picked the 1:00 trip because we are here in Cancun for my granddaughter’s ACRO competition that os every morning till Sunday and I get a phone call from the captain at 7:10 wanting to know if something was wrong. I explained to him the situation and sent me a copy that had 7:00 am fishing time . He was very understanding and we got there at 12:00 started out at 12:30 and fished hard till we arrived back the marina at 6:30 pm the deck hands worked extremely hard to put us on fish and did a great job. The captain moved quite a bit and found us some good fish. Highly recommend this boat and crew. Thanks for hosting us and making memories with family. God Bless . Bert Mazac.

Captain Hector and our deck hands (Juan and Edel) were fantastic! We brought in a lot of fish today (26 to be exact). At our last stop, we had "fish on" on every pole in the water. We just kept reeling them in, one after another. They even went over the allotted time that was booked because we hit a spot where the just kept biting. Super glad we upgraded to the 35 foot boat as the ocean was extremely rough. Couldn't have asked for a better fishing trip or a better crew. They definitely ensured we were catching fish. Gracias Tradition Crew!

8 Hour Trip – SAILFISH op October 27, 2025 • 2 volwassenen

We started out early at 7 AM catching some bait fish before heading out to a few fantastic fishing spots. Throughout the day, we caught 18 fish and had an unforgettable finish — my grandson caught a Tarpon right by the docks! Captain Eduardo made that moment happen because my grandson really wanted to catch one, and he went above and beyond to make it special.

Pedro and Juan were amazing as well — so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their teamwork made the whole trip fun and easy.

I’d highly recommend this fishing experience to anyone visiting Cancun. It was a perfect mix of adventure, great fishing, and family memories.

PS: We even had a sailfish on the hook — didn’t get it in the boat, but it sure was exciting!

8 Hour Trip – SAILFISH op June 20, 2025 • 4 volwassenen

Captain Miguel and Pedro worked their a$$e$ off for us! The seas were crazy rough, at least 6' at 3 seconds apart... we didn't have much hope for the day but they really came through. In total we caught 9 Dorados, 4 Bonita, a Barracuda, a Bull shark the size of a small camper and a SAILFISH. What a trip! We were all getting tossed around a bit but it was all worth it for the great day of catching. Thank you to the crew of the Showtime, Capt Miguel and Pedro. We will surely be booking with you again.

Captain Carlos (Sharkey), Juan, and Adelle (not sure on that spelling) were terrific. We had some luck catching Bonitos x5, but otherwise the fishing was slow. Great time had by all.
