Flamingo Beach Bay Watersport heeft een trip met jouw naam erop langs de prachtige wateren van Playa Flamingo. Kapitein Jonathan zal je gids zijn, waardoor je kunt profiteren van zijn kennis en ervaring.

Deze wateren staan bekend om Grote Barracuda, Geelvintonijn, Grote Geelstaart, Zeilvis, Roostervis, Zwarte Marlijn, Cubera Snapper, Goudmakreel, Wahoo, Blauwe Marlijn, en meer – met een beetje geluk duurt het niet lang voordat 'Beet!' Tijdens de trip kun je aan het spinvissen, poppen, trollen, jiggen zijn, of misschien iets meer gespecialiseerds in dit gebied.

Kapt. Jonathan verwelkomt je aan boord van een 28' center console met ruimte voor 4 passagiers. Het heeft outriggers en alle essentiële zaken waar geen vismachine zonder kan. Er is een toilet aan boord voor je gemak. Kapt. Jonathan heeft hengels en molens voor je, samen met kunstaas. Levend aas is inbegrepen, maar je moet de kapitein vragen of je het zelf gaat vangen.

Trips worden uitgevoerd met de hulp van een eerste maat. Maten werken vaak voor fooien en het is gebruikelijk om hen een fooi van 10–20% te geven.

Je moet een lokale visvergunning kopen voor de trip. Deze informatie is meestal online beschikbaar, of je kunt het de kapitein vragen. Sommige soorten kunnen verboden zijn of een speciale tag vereisen, dus zorg ervoor dat je weet wat je kunt verwachten.

Vergeet niet om een zonnebril en zonnebrandcrème (niet-spray) mee te nemen. Drankjes zijn inbegrepen, gratis. Alcohol is toegestaan in matige hoeveelheden, maar je moet sterke drank en glazen flessen vermijden. Er zijn wat lichte snacks inbegrepen aan boord.

Rooster fishing - full day

Full Day Trip op April 14, 2026 • 4 volwassenen

Me and my girlfriend booked a full day of chasing rooster fish. From the second we got onto the boat the captain and deckhand were super friendly and explaining our game plan for the day. They have tons of fresh fruit and drinks to keep you energized and hydrated for the full day along with lunch! Conditions were tough but the crew didn’t stop trying once and always explained what our next move was and why not leaving us in the dark wondering anything. We ended up finding some water that looked productive and it produced. My girlfriend got her first big rooster and is still smiling from it. We did have a couple others chase and hit the baits around but just didn’t want to commit but that’s why we call it fishing and not catching! These guys know how to guide and do it well. Can’t thank them enough and will be booking with them next year to chase roosters again!

Scenic Guanacaste Sport Fishing!

Half Day Trip (AM) op March 14, 2026 • 2 volwassenen

We went in mid-March with Captain Jonathan and First Mate Carlos for a half day trip. The day was a bit windy so they started us off in the bay following the birds and caught a small jackfish right away. As we mulled about, we later caught a small black ahi tuna. We did come for the big guys, but we had to wait for the waves to calm a bit in the open waters, once they did we moved out of the bay and they setup the rigs for the big fish. We saw a couple of big sailfish, one hit our bait but ultimately they were uninterested and the day was a bust on catching anything else. We would love to try again during rainy season when the fish are more active! Overall, zero complaints about the trip because Capt Jonathan and Carlos tried the entire time to troll and get us a catch. Super friendly and the fresh fruit & drinks was a really nice treat! Hope to have time to do a full day someday!

The best part of our trip to Costa Rica!!

We originally booked a 1/2 day trip with Captain Jonathan and Carlos, but we had such a great time that we extended our vacation and booked an additional full day trip, this time with Jimbo as our deckhand. Both trips we caught sailfish! The crew fed us delicious fresh fruit on both trips, and brought us sandwiches on the full day. Drinks are provided, and they even brought out a special treat for us on the 2nd trip (thanks for the coco locos, guys!). Johnathan and his crew worked hard both trips to get us hooked up, and their hard work paid off. Their experience fishing these waters was very apparent, and we loved hearing the stories they shared with us. We will for sure be booking with these guys again! 

To the crew: thank you so much for this experience, it was truly the highlight of our trip and we look forward to seeing you guys again!

Great trip and Crew

Captain Jonathan was very friendly and helpful ahead of the booking and super responsive all the way through.  He was acommodating and made it super easy to get out on the water.  The whole trip he and the mate were positive and pleasant working hard to bring fish in.  Got a beautiful and huge sailfish making this a trip to remember.  Highly recommended!

Top Notch! Couldn’t have expected More!

If you want every expectation met and more, this is your boat and crew. We started the day exactly on time and on the way out to the fishing grounds they explained the sights and asked about what we wanted to experience from the day with them. They showed us Turtles, dolphins, and the first fish on the line was a Blue Marlin! Roughly 400+/- and absolutely fought like nothing we have ever experienced, this includes many off shore trips all around the Caribbean and pacific. We ended up winning the brutal battle and gained lifetime memories! Next was one sailfish after another. After the crew completely used up any strength we had left, they took us to a private beach to snorkel as long as we wanted. Time didn’t matter to them at all, they just wanted us to have an amazing experience! Food was the absolute best, fruits all day, pineapple like I have never had before, chips and dip that you couldn’t find anywhere but on that boat, meat and cheese platter, sandwiches, and fresh hand cut coconuts filled with the best rum and coconut water. To summarize, if you want a day trip you will never forget, i highly recommended this team. Will boom with them again and recommend to everyone I know.
