Laguna Madre Fishing Co. is jouw ticket naar de prachtige wateren van South Padre Island. Met vele uren ervaring op deze getijden kan schipper Rey je er alles over vertellen.

Hier is het vissen populair op Trommelvis, Redfish, Gevlekte Ombervis en meer, afhankelijk van het seizoen. Voor deze soorten ga je waarschijnlijk driftvissen en bodemvissen met licht materiaal.

Je stapt aan boord van een 25' Majek Center console die tot 6 passagiers kan vervoeren. Het schip is uitgerust met alles wat je nodig hebt voor een productieve dag op het water. Je schipper zorgt voor hengels en molens.

Chasing tail with Captain Rey

6 Hour Trip op May 13, 2026 • 2 volwassenen

Limited out on trout and had a blast chasing reds during a feeding frenzy. Largest keeper of the day was a beautiful golden red, just shy of 28". Largest monster was a big ugly, he put up a great fight, in the end we wished him well and tossed him back. I've been on charters all around the Gulf coast and I can honestly recommend Rey Reyna if you're looking for a charter Captain in the Port Isabel/Laguna 
Madre area. He's serious about catching fish but he has fun doing it, we shared a lot of laughs, while learning some new techniques. We couldn't of asked for a better day on the water; thanks again Capt. Rey. If you book a charter with Rey and want to start your day 
off with a laugh, tell him the guy with a cricket in his pocket referred you.

December fishing trip

Even though the fish weren’t exactly cooperating, we still had an amazing time on this charter thanks to the captain. He was truly awesome, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly patient, especially with my 8-year-old son. He made sure my son felt included, explained everything in a way he could understand, and never rushed him. You can tell Rey genuinely loves what he does and cares about his guests having a great experience. This trip was such a positive memory for our family, and we would absolutely book again without hesitation.

Capt. Gus and Capt. Rey… A Winning Team!!

6 Hour Trip op November 12, 2025 • 4 volwassenen

My cousins and I spend a lot of time fishing… A little saltwater… but mostly Great Lakes. 

The day before we were set to head out on our booking Captain Rey messaged me with bad news… His boat went down… After a couple texts back and forth he assured me we were still good to go… And we were!   We were a little early to the dock and they were in time.  

They greeted us, me and my cousins, early in the morning, with smiles and eagerness.  We’re not rookie fishermen buy any stretch of the imagination, but these men actually taught us a few things… I love it- we’re never told old to learn.

About an hour into the charter, i landed the biggest Red Drum ive ever seen- or caught.  A monster 38”er that weighed in at about 20 lbs…. What a battle!

They day after that was a little slow- but thats not the captains fault… 

We’ve dealt with MANY boat Captains on charters… Some polite… some with sour attitudes.   Noth these 2 men!  upbeat and encouraging and absolutely polite and freindly.

We totally recommend!!

Great Time with Captian Ray

Our family had an incredible fishing trip with Captain Ray! From start to finish, he made everything perfect, especially for our young boys new to fishing. His boat was clean and well-equipped, with gear just right for the kids. Captain Ray knows the local waters like the back of his hand, leading us to lively fishing spots where the catches never stopped.

He was fantastic with the kids, teaching them about fish and nature with patience and enthusiasm. It’s clear he loves his job, and that passion was infectious. My boys left with great fish stories and a newfound love for the outdoors.

Captain Ray's hospitality was top-notch, with snacks, drinks, and plenty of entertainment. The highlight was encountering a lively school of fish—everyone was thrilled!

Ray Reyna  is awesome. He’s funny. He catches fish. He moves around to get to the Fish. We caught our limit of trout and red Fish. He takes care of you even baits your hooks and is a great guide. I highly recommend him.
