Zin om wat vis te vangen in Quepos? Maak het waar met Wahoo Sport Fishing Quepos! Met schipper Melvin aan het roer ben je in deskundige en ervaren handen.

Afhankelijk van het seizoen kun je Zwarte Marlijn, Blauwe Marlijn, Grootoogtonijn, Goudmakreel, Zeilvis, Stille Ocean-Barracuda, Regenboogstekelmakreel en alles wat bijt aan de haak slaan.

Kinderen zijn welkom, dus neem gerust het hele gezin mee! Vraag zeker of er zwemvesten op kindermaat beschikbaar zijn.

Je gaat aan boord van een 29' Rambo center console die tot 5 passagiers kan vervoeren. Het schip is uitgerust met alle essentiële zaken waar een vismachine niet zonder kan. Er is een toilet aan boord voor je gemak. Je schipper zorgt voor hengels en molens, samen met kunstaas. Levend aas is inbegrepen, maar vraag de schipper of je het zelf gaat vangen.

Je krijgt hulp van een eerste maat om je op vis te zetten. Maats werken hard om je trip te laten slagen, dus een fooi van 10-20% is gebruikelijk.

Voordat je aan boord komt, kan het nodig zijn om een lokale visvergunning te kopen voor iedereen in je groep. Deze informatie is meestal online beschikbaar, of je kunt het aan de schipper vragen.

Enkele essentiële zaken om mee te nemen zijn zonnebrandcrème (geen spray) en een zonnebril.
Er zijn wat drankjes beschikbaar, maar laat de schipper weten of je je eigen drankjes wilt meenemen. Alcohol is in beperkte mate toegestaan. Er zijn eten en wat lichte snacks aan boord inbegrepen.

Great Day on the water

Full Day Trip – Offshore op February 25, 2026 • 3 volwassenen

This was our first deep water fishing trip.  It was me and my 2 sons ( 13-15).  We 
did catch 3 small Tuna luckily, the Captain said it wasnt a great day of fishing.  
The crew worked really hard to catch more, trolled through 5/6 different groups of tuna.  
We saw over 500 dolphins, a couple hundred tuna jumping, 5 sea turtles, and a shark. 
We all had a blast for our first time out, even though we didnt catch much. 

I would recommend this charter 100% to everyone, we will being doing this again!!   

One thing to note, waze will have you go to the marina ( drive past the entrance another 1/2 mile ish ) 
When trying to find the location, drive past the marina, the road will split and youll see a dirt road that goes straight, the pavement will turn left.  The dirt road will lead you to a gate at the end.  This is the road you want to take, once you get to the end just park on the right side by the fence.  ( I included some pictures ). 

Also they did have some soda and water, they also grabbed some sandwiches for us. 
We did bring our own water and some snacks just incase.
Footwear is whatever your comfortable in, we wore sneakers just to block our feet from getting burned.

These guys put me on fish!

Full Day Trip – Offshore op April 30, 2026 • 1 volwassene

My goal was big yellowfin tuna and man did we succeed! we ran out and caught bait immmediately. They we ran until we found activity and had a double header on yellowfin. I got exactly what i wanted. I will mention that if you are bringing fish home they do not vacuum seal it and it's about $3.50/lb in the marina. overall im very happy with Wahoo II charter and i recommend these guys!

Full Day Trip – Offshore op February 6, 2026 • 2 volwassenen

The captain and mate did a great job on finding fish.  We got live bait . Then went out for Tuna or Mahi Mahi if available.  Found pods of dolphin and caught a nice Tuna but as hard as we worked the schools they did not turn on. We did catch a nice and was a buitiful fight.  pictures and released. its called fishing  witch of done in the Florida Keys for decades.  A good day on the water and i got a chance to take a friend out with these guys to catch his first tuna. Nice guys to fish with. Nice boat we fished on.

My sons hooked up with 5 sailfish and released 3.

Captain and first mate were excellent, friendly, and made the experience very enjoyable. Fresh pineapple and sandwiches were provided along with cold drinks.

This trip is best for people who to get thr hotspot fast and catch billfish.

Five of us went on a full day offshore trip with Wahoo Quepos 2.Captain Melvin and deckhand Melak were awesome. We caught 2 sailfish successfully.While fishing we also got to see a few sea turtles,dolphins,pilot whale and some flying fish. We would recommend going out on this boat.
