Fishing Adventures Ireland en schipper Séan nodigen je uit om het prachtige Loop Head schiereiland aan de Wild Atlantic Way te verkennen. Het bedrijf opereert vanuit Kilbaha, County Clare. Dat kleine vissersdorpje ligt op slechts anderhalve kilometer van de vuurtoren van Loop Head in een beschutte baai.

Je vistrip begint vroeg in de ochtend. Schipper Séan verwelkomt je hartelijk aan boord van de 'Lady Gwen II', een 33' Lochin boot. Ze is een ruim en comfortabel vaartuig, gebouwd in Rye Sussex. De Lady Gwen II is uitgerust met de modernste navigatie- en viszoek-elektronica van Simrad en Garmin.

De Lady Gwen II wordt aangedreven door een 265 PK Perkins motor. Ze is uitgerust met hengels en molens van toonaangevende merken zoals Abu Garcia, Penn en Shakespeare.

Je gaat vissen op de riffen en zandbodems van de Shannon Estuary en de Atlantische Oceaan, waarbij je verschillende vistechnieken gebruikt, zoals driftvissen, jiggen en bodemvissen.

De lijst met potentiële vangsten omvat de crème de la crème van de lokale wateren. Je kunt onder andere Kabeljauw, Zilverbaars, Schelvis, Kongeraal, Koolvis, Rog, Stekelrog en Wijting vangen. Er zwemmen ook enkele octopussen rond, samen met Haringhaai, Ruwe Haai en Grote Blauwe Haai.

Sean puts you on the fish!!!

Scheduled the half day with Sean.  Was not disappointed. Even with some slightly rough seas we were on fish most of the time.  The clouds parted and we were greeted with beautiful blue sky and great fishing for the rest of the time.  The deck hand Paul was a great added bonus.  Full of great tales and helpful with the fishing.  10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area to book for a trip. Cheers.

Captain Sean put us on the fish right away. My boys (20 and 10 y.o.) had a blast - it was the younger one's first time on a charter and he could not have enjoyed it more. We went home with a meal of fresh pollock and mackerel. Paul (deck hand) was a riot. He had a lot of funny stories and was very patient pulling fish and re-rigging lines. Thanks for a memorable time!

A once in a lifetime experience!

Fishing off the coast of Ireland was one of the most incredible experiences we’ve ever had—and a huge part of that experience was the captain and crew. Captain Séan and deck mate Paul were the most lovely people to sail with. So knowledgeable, friendly, and plenty of great stories and conversation! The scenery was gorgeous, and we got to fish in many locations along the coast. We can’t recommend Captain Séan enough, he was an excellent communicator from the day we booked right through our adventure. 10/10, we will absolutely book again next time we’re in Ireland!

Full days fishing trip with captain Séan

Full Day Trip op June 23, 2023 • 2 volwassenen

Although the weather wasn't exactly calm, Séan had great knowledge to be able to bring us were swell wasn't bad and the waters were slack. Every reef we were put over we caught fish from mackerel to dog spurs(not my favourite fish, but my young fella loved them. I think he believed it was haws he was catching. He even told Séan were gone need a bigger boat😂) the fish were plenty, lots of cod, pollock and ling. Caught one of the best cods of my life. The boat is very capable and well equipped. Rods and equipment and the advice is exceptional. Can't wait for our next trip very soon. Thanks Séan.
