I was born and raised in Key West, and started fishing with my grandfather at the tender age of 8 years old. My grandfather taught me how to fish, and instilled in me a great love and respect for the ocean. As I grew I knew that this is what I wanted to do with my life. As soon as I was able to shake my parents notion that one day I would head off to college, I began to fish in earnest. I started in the commercial industry trapping, diving, and hand lining. Though I enjoyed that life immensely I also enjoy showing people a good time, and showing off my craft. which led me into the charter boat industry. I went from first mate to owner of 4 charter boats at historical charterboat row. I have learned from the best in the industry, and have passed my knowledge onto my crews. I believe that all fishermen are show offs. They know that it is not easy to go fishing and actually catch fish, and that's what they do. Come on out and hang with our showoffs, I promise you will be entertained.

    Geweldige schipper & eerste maat CJ

    ik deed een september trip buitenseizoen-NP ik ving een Zwartvintonijn en de andere 3 vingen wat Geelstaart 4 uur trip was perfect oorspronkelijk gepland voor dinsdag maar moest donderdag worden- NP ik begrijp niet hoe 2 van de 4 van ons de eerste maat geen fooi gaven VRESELIJK De 2 klaagden al voordat we begonnen Hoe dan ook, 2 domme vissers mogen het niet verpesten Zorg goed voor de eerste maat 20 procent fooi is weinig voor wat hij verdient Schipper Gil was altijd op tijd bereikbaar Zeker aanbevolen

    Trophy Fish & Mahi Mahi

    We booked a shared charter, which saved costs, however we rotated turns to reel in catches. DJ was our mate and was phenomenal, he had 4-6 lines going at all times. We did a 3/4 day charter, two of us then 4 others also were booked. everyome was friendly and we all felt ownership of all the catches (although DJ really did most of the work). We split the edible fish amongst parties that wanted some, and although only 2 mahi keepers, it was enough for everyone to have a small meal (which we’ll tske to one of many restaurants that will gril it for us). We rotated turns reeling, i had one decent fish then a dud. We got a few mahi mahi, two non-keepers and two keepers. i know many trips come back unfruitful to no fault of captain or mate, we ended up the best boat out there with mahi & a trophy sailfish. another group brought a full cooler with drinks and food, we brought snacks, a few drinks and suscreen, boat had waters on ice for us.

    geweldige ervaring

    Wat een geweldige tijd hebben we allemaal gehad! Ze namen ons mee naar geweldige visspots en zorgden ervoor dat we allemaal iets vingen. De schipper en bemanning maakten de dag compleet. Ze hielpen ons enorm en waren zeer bedreven in hun werk. De bemanning had de beste persoonlijkheden, wat het alleen maar leuker maakte! Ik raad ze ten zeerste aan voor beginners en ervaren vissers, want ze zijn zo goed in hun werk!! Het ene wat echt opvalt is dat zelfs als je nog nooit eerder hebt gevist, ze je op je gemak stellen en je laten zien wat je moet doen, zonder je te haasten. Ik kan niet wachten om weer te gaan. Dit is de vierde keer dat we zijn gegaan en elke keer is het geweldig!

    De bemanning is super aardig en vriendelijk, ik had vertraging en ze wachtten om er zeker van te zijn dat ik er aankwam. Er waren alleen kleine vissen, maar dat is te verwachten omdat het het laagseizoen is. De eerste maat Ricky was geweldig, super informatief, en hij zorgde voor alles om ervoor te zorgen dat iedereen comfortabel was. De schipper navigeerde uitstekend door de regen en het water. Ik zou de trip zeker aanbevelen aan mensen die de ervaring willen opdoen

    Conchenstein

    3/4 dagtrip – gedeeld • 4 volwassenen

    We hadden een geweldige 6 uur durende charter visreis aan boord van de Conchenstein met Capt. Ron en Roscoe. Het water was rustig, het vissen was geweldig, en we haalden een barracuda van 36 inch binnen samen met wat makreel en verschillende andere soorten vis. De bemanning behandelde ons uitstekend van begin tot eind en was informatief, vriendelijk en duidelijk ervaren. Ze werkten hard om ons op de vis te houden en maakten de hele trip plezierig voor iedereen. Al met al was het een fantastische charter-ervaring en we zouden Capt. Ron en Roscoe absoluut aanbevelen aan iedereen die wil vissen in de Keys.

Hurricane Irma Update

Hurricane Irma is long gone thank God, but the aftermath is in full swing. Key West as well as all the Keys have been dealt a catastrophic blow. We are down, but we are far from out. To say that it has been hard Is an understatement, but thanks to the heroes that are working hard to restore our resources we are on the mend. It has been announced that we are trying for a October 20th re-opening of the Keys to our northern friends. We are all working hard towards that goal, as we cant wait to see you. In the meantime say a prayer for all the hurricane victims who are suffering through the aftermath of natures fury. Follow us on Facebook to see some videos of the storm.

Wahoo Bonanza !!!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone and if you are not in Key West yet all I can say is why not. You wont find many cozy fireplaces here, but then again who needs them being located so close to the end of the rainbow. If you are tired of that same old traditional turkey dinner, you should be in Key West where the elusive wahoo have made a Thanksgiving appearance. On a recent trip our customers experienced some great wahoo action, and plan on eating the turkey of the ocean for dinner. The other white meat.
