Captain Charlie is USCG certified and brings over 20 years of fishing experience to Reel Joy Fishing Charters. Growing up in the Philippines, Charlie's passion for fishing began early. From fishing the rivers to going offshore in small, modified canoes, as long as he was in or near the water, he was happy. Charlie then moved to Wisconsin, where he later chased muskies until he joined the Army. From 2011 to 2018, he served in the Army, focusing on fishing in areas around Wilmington, North Carolina, and the Cape Fear River. After leaving the military, Captain Charlie pursued his dream of starting a charter business to bring joy to people who want to fish and find adventure. He relocated to Jacksonville, where he has continued to share his love for fishing with others.

4 uur durende trip – Open Zee • 1 volwasseneWent out on a fishing charter this morning and had an awesome time. The captain was great, super helpful, and made the whole trip a lot of fun. We stayed on fish the whole time and ended up catching a bunch which made the experience even better. The boat was nice, the vibes were good, and everything was handled professionally. Definitely one of the most fun mornings I’ve had in a while and I’d 100% recommend this charter to anyone looking to get out on the water and catch some fish. Looking forward to coming back again soon 🎣🌊

Took my grand daughter for her first fishing trip and it couldn’t have been better the captain was patient, knowledgeable and professional. My granddaughter is now hooked on fishing. Would recommend Charlie to anyone who wants a great day on the water.

Water temperature is starting to warm up and Vermilion snappers are biting. Soon enough the kings should be back around.

Red hot inshore action

Fishing was on fire today! ? Water temps in the river were perfect, and the fish were chewing. We had to wade through plenty of small mangrove snapper, but managed to put a few solid keepers in the box. Also landed two nice keeper flounder, boated one bull red, and lost a couple more right at the boat. Fishing is heating up this time of year, now’s the time to get out there!
