Our family of 4 (with kids 14 and 9) has done quite a few private charters in many different places and Camelot rose to the top of the list. From setting foot on the boat for the very first time to the end of the charter we felt welcomed and the crew, Captain Lincoln and Mekai, did everything they could to find fish and make it a special day. We enjoyed chatting and shared all kinds of stories. It was a great vibe all day. They also know what they are looking for and how to find it. The prize if the day was a 6 foot spearfish although we had a monster marlin on the line who simply refused to be reeled all the way in this day. He did jump out of the water during battle though before saying goodbye. The day was great, the crew was great, and very easy to work with Camelot. Pick them for your trip whether you are a family or a group serious anglers, you will be happy you did.

Michael and I arrived super early to the harbor, it was still dark outside but the crew was already there and getting the boat ready for us. We watched the sunrise as we coasted, it was so beautiful and relaxing!!!  I reeled in a ShortNose Spearfish, a rare encounter and only in Hawaii do you see these fish if your lucky enough! He was huge!!! ?? Watching our awesome crew filet it up my mouth started to water, the colors on that fish are beautiful! We are cooking it tonight with my best friend who just recently moved to Hawaii ?? it’s going to be a big Feast!!!! Thank you for the wonderful experience, we will definitely be back for a full day next time! Aloha

We had a really great trip fishing with Camelot. I’ve tried other charters at Kona and never have had such a good experience. Caption Lael and James went above and beyond to show my son and I a fantastic time. We got a bite from a large Marlin and my son caught a large ocean tip shark. They also hooked a Mahi Mahi but it jumped off. All in all it was the best time we’ve had fishing in Kona and we will come back to Camelot!

It was a nice 6 hr boat ride but zero fishing action.  Calm water, beautiful sky, the crew, Lincoln and Maki were great.  Just didn’t result in anything more than an expensive boat ride.  I understand that it’s fishing and nothing is guaranteed, but still disappointed.
