    The Cold Front Was HOT!!!!!

    Captain Ryland and First mate Ben made this trip truly awesome! Real professionals! They worked the rigs hard from start to finish and delivered a very memorable experience for us. The boat is safe, spacious and in tip top condition. I forgot FAST! They had a live well full of live goggle eyes which I think was key to getting us into the sailfish. We ended up catching 3 sailfish and losing 3 more! If ever in this area of Florida again Captain Ryland would be my first call. I would recommend them to all. True Grit is the S*%t!!!!! Take care guys. Thanks again from MN!

    Amazing trip with fantastic crew

    Captain Ryland and Ben were absolutely a dream to work with. Our group had novice to experienced and we all had an amazing time. They navigated us to hot spots where we were able to catch sail fish and king fish. Their knowledge and expertise were clear as they ran sail lines and flat lines like a well oiled machine. Watching them work together on a beautiful Florida day was worth it even before we caught anything. We can’t wait to come again and spend another day out on on the water with True Grit!

    3/4 day trip

    3/4 Dagtrip – Open Zee • 6 volwassenen

    We began our trip a little early to try and get in on the mutton snapper bite. We anchored up near a wreck and began fishing. The wreck was ruled by barracuda, as we brought up 3 of them, in addition to a couple bonita, one of which was half eaten by the barracuda. After a couple of hours, Capt Ryland decided to switch up our spot and tactics as we headed further north and did some bottom and kite fishing. We managed to pull up some more Bonita and a nice kingfish, before finally getting hooked into a huge mutton snapper. Overall it was an amazing day and Capt Ryland did everything possible to make sure we had the best overall experience. Would highly recommend this captain and charter if you are in the area.

    Choppy water but great experience

    We chartered a full day out of Pampano for me and my son. The water was rough and so was my son's complexion. I should have gotten dramamine for him the night before as the Captain recommended but I forgot. I didn't get sick so the first strike was mine to take. 80" Sailfish hooked on the line. I fought the fish and the rocking boat for 30 min - fun fight. waters were so rough we didn't get a good picture - too bad. All in all this was a great experience. I would recommend!

Sunday Amberjacks on True Grit

With the large amount of boats around the area and flat calm seas True Grit was able to get all of our charter guests a fish to remember! We ended up catching 5 amberjack and had a massive bull shark all they way up to the boat until the line parted! We have been able to consistently catch amberjack from a few wrecks close to the inlet. These fish are some of the hardest fighters in the ocean and these wrecks hold large bull sharks and even massive Warsaw Grouper. Book with us soon and we will put you and your guests on some great fish!

Sailfish in February

Had a great trip on Friday with some great clients. Adam and Meredith brought two friends and were set on getting Adam a sailfish for his birthday. We started our day by running north until we found a great current rip with a big color change. When we got our lines out within five minutes, there he was, sailfish. Adam fought a full grown sailfish and we safely released him. after setting back up we got several more bites through out the day catching an array of species from king mackerel to bonito and also had a decent blackfin tuna during the last moments of the charter. Bite is on and the weather is warm!
