Born and raised on the Bayous of Lafitte (Barataria Basin). There is no greater way of life or joy than to share our heritage with those visiting New Orleans. I love to see the light in people's eyes as they land their catch - whether it is their 1st or 100th fish, it is always a pleasure to share a bit of the Bayou with others. I own and operate Big Dog Fishing Charters and have a team of Captains waiting to show you a great time!

there’s a reason ive why we come down to fish with Big Dawg charter. coolers alway full, many pictures and many laughing. The captains there works as a team to put you on them fish.

Fishing was tough this time of year with the weather being inconsistent. Slow start but finished strong both days! Big dog charters had multiple guides. Not just one. We had Chad, my go to guy for now on. Only planned to fish one day and instead, fished 2 days. Can't go wrong with him!

April fishing trip

Conditions were not perfect, wind was blowing hard but we still caught a bunch of fish. Captain Mark still put us on fish despite 20 mph winds. Kids had a lot of fun.

Captain Mark was the best

This was the second time we fished with the captain. Marina was nice and clean, good boat, nice gear. We ripped some lips and murdered sheepshead. We will be back in April.

Great family fishing trip

We loved the four hour fishing trip! Great boat ride out and caught lots of fish the whole time! Barry was very attentive a great captain!
