Captain Rick has been fishing the Merrimack River area for 25 years. He started surfcasting and then purchased his first boat which grew to his current vessel, a 38' Northern Bay with a big stable platform to fish from.

    Fishing with Rick

We did this part of a bachelor party. It was a little choppy out there and they still got us on the fish and had a great time in the process.

    Striped Bass and Much More!

    4 Uur – Baars Trips • 4 volwassenen

This experience with Captain Rick and First Mate Rick was absolutely fantastic! The trip was much more than fishing, it was the complete ocean experience. We started off by casting out our own lines to catch some bait fish in preparation for the angler extravaganza; catching a monster striped bass. As the bait fish storage tank filled up, we headed to find some stripers where we were greeted by a wonderful whale watching experience. The crew was kind enough to let us stop and enjoy the beautiful views of a playful juvenile humpback whale. As the whale moved on we turned back to the original mission of hooking a monster bass. The crew brought us to a fantastic location where every single member of the party caught at least 2 striped bass to complete the experience. Beyond the fishing, the crew was light hearted, attentive, and ensured both experienced anglers and beginners had a fantastic time. We will certainly be booking with FV Emme Charters again!

Thank you Tom for your kind words. I wish we could take credit for the whale show but as they say “rather be lucky then good” Glad you enjoyed your time on Emme!

The trip was perfect! We were greeted at the gate, explained everything we’d do throughout the day and caught plenty of fish. The crew was very helpful and attentive. Can’t say enough great things or rate them highly enough.

We had an excellent family day on the water with Captain Rick. After spending some time catching live bait he was able to immediately put us on the stripers. Overall a great day of fishing and I would highly recommend the Emme for your charter.

Booked a 4 hour trip on the F/V Emme and we had a blast. Arrived early and boarded the boat promptly and were off within minutes of meeting the crew. The guys were real pros, kept us all organized and did a great job ensuring we had fresh bait and lines in the water at all times. One of the best parts of chartering a fishing vessel is when you get a crew as attentive as these guys were. Not only were they true professionals they were entertaining and great to chop it up with. Would give this 10 stars if it were possible. We will go out with them again next year for sure.

We had a great time with Rick & Rick on the water! Both were so knowledgeable, fun and helpful. We all caught a few sea bass (what a thrill!) and were able to grill some up for dinner that night. I highly recommend fishing with them on the Emme - I know we will be back for more!
