OCEAN SALMON REPORT 5/19/26

We are fishing in legal waters south of Pigeon Point. We have been on the fish since the opener on April 11th 2026 and most of the time there is not another boat in sight! The fish are coming in on a mix of bait and artifical lures. Anchovies have had a slight edge over lures but not by far. We will continue to use both! In our most recent trips, fish were cught from 40 feet down to 100'. We expect the fish come up even higher with the recent cooling we've seen. These fish are deep red-krill fed kings. The kind of fish you want to eat before you get off the boat! Our last two trips were wide open getting limits for clients and crew. The weather blew us off the last several days but we are excited to be back out this week starting on 5/20 with the best conditions of the year (cold water and life). These are rare and limited opportunities to fish lonely waters out of range of most recreational boats and catch some of the most desireable fish in the ocean. Dates are available through June 11th.
