Great Day for Richard and Mary

Day 1 couldn’t have started much better. The crew got to experience an incredible speckled trout bite, with fish coming over the rail at a steady pace until we had a great box put together. Since we still had plenty of time left in the morning, we decided to go looking for a little more excitement. We switched gears and targeted redfish, and the guys were rewarded with several beautiful slot reds to round out the trip. It’s hard to beat a day where you can catch multiple species and keep the action going from start to finish. Thanks to this awesome crew for spending the day on the water with us. Looking forward to Day 2!

Another great day with the Gainnie Lumber crew! This trip had all the ingredients for a fun morning—calm water, cooperative speckled trout, and a great group of anglers. The crew stayed busy throughout the trip, putting together a nice box of quality trout while enjoying everything South Louisiana has to offer. We always appreciate the opportunity to fish with the Gainnie Lumber team and are grateful for their continued business. Looking forward to the next trip!

Day 2 with Frank McCreery and his family was a perfect way to wrap up their trip. The trout stayed hungry, keeping everyone busy throughout the morning. Before heading in, we decided to add a little more excitement by hooking into a couple of bull redfish. There’s nothing quite like hearing the drag scream after a morning of catching trout. It was great having Frank and his family back after all these years. Seeing returning guests leave with smiles, coolers full of fish, and new memories is one of the best parts of this job. Thank you again for making the trip from Virginia. I hope it won’t be long before we do it all again!
