Our guests had quite a surprise on a recent Halibut trip as they reeled up a Pacific Octopus. Octopus are great eating and a welcomed bonus to their Halibut and Crab boxes.

Insane Halibut Action! We had a crazy halibut bite on an afternoon this week! After landing our first Halibut still in the net our second rod got hammered and was peeling line. Guests were able to get the second fish to the boat both a perfect 107cm and 104cm. Just as we were getting ready to head back and pull our anchor...a MEGA fish hammered our whole yellow tail and burned under the boat tangling around our chum back and breaking another line clean off. This fish got us into our backing before coming back to the boat for a leader release. The Halibut was close to 100lbs...a serious unit. Guests enjoyed an incredible sunset on the run back. HOG-tober at its finest!
