Mixed Bag Meat Trip

Several fall run trips have proved to be very successful. All three photos are from three separate trips/dates. Photo # 1 is the biggest Striped Bass year to date at 46 inches and quite possibly north of 45 lbs. All of these were great trips where the anglers are fishing hard and it paid off. We still have time and theres availability for trips throughout November, get a trip in before the season ends!

Headed out solo to do some Striped Bass scouting. After securing some live bait from a rather quiet ocean I came back inside and drifted the bait through some structures in the area and after only two drifts managed to catch and release this nice 33” Striped Bass. Drifting live bait through different types of structures is only one of many tactics utilized for Striper Fishing and proves to be very effective. As the Fall run heats up many boats will have one hookup after the other using these methods and others. Its time to get out there and put those reels to the test!

Decided to check out some intel that a fellow captain shared with me on a down day. First we netted some live bait in the canal to give us the best odds of some bigger fish. Next we headed out to the reefs just a few miles off shore. We poked around the area scanning with the sonar and found a ton of life. After setting up the drift we had 3 nice keeper fluke, 20-22-23’. Had to head back early due to an incoming storm but what a great day, sometimes things just line up nicely. Made fried fish tacos and ceviche. This could be you!
