    (Half day offshore Mahi/tuna/wahoo)

    Amazing Trip!

I can not say enough wonderful things about our fishing trip with Captain Mike and Reel Keys Fishing! Captain Mike loves what he does and it shows. He put in that work to make sure we caught a variety of fish (Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo). Mike was extremely knowledgeable, very personable and wonderful all the way around! Our family had an incredible day on the trip and we can’t wait to book with Captain Mike again. Youre not fishing inless you are Reel Keys Fishing! Thank you Captain Mike 🎣

(4 Hour Trip - blue hill)

Captain Jonathan made the most of a trip when the fish weren't biting. Super fun trip and great conversation. He knows the area well and could not have been nicer. Highly recommend.

Captain Jonathan was patient, knowledgeable, and kind to us out-of-state rusty fishermen! He made what could have been disappointing (fish weren't biting) a very fun experience.

Over Jigging vissen

Jigging is a hands-on way to make a lure look alive. You drop a weighted jig and work it with short lifts to imitate a struggling bait fish. It is fast, direct, and exciting. Many anglers love it because the strike feels sudden and powerful.

This technique can tempt a wide range of game fish. In saltwater, anglers often hook Amberjack, Yellowtail, Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Snapper, and Striped Bass. In freshwater, it can fool Walleye, Lake Trout, Bass, and Panfish. If predators are feeding, a well‑worked jig can trigger bites.

The basics are simple. Drop the jig to the target depth, then lift and wind to move it. High speed jigging uses quick, strong pumps and fast reeling to mimic a fleeing bait fish. Slow pitch jigging uses gentler lifts to let the jig flutter and fall. Micro jigging uses small jigs and lighter tackle for steady action and easier handling.

Expect an active day with plenty of rod work. Bites can happen anywhere in the water column, so stay alert. Beginners can learn with light setups and clear guidance, while experienced anglers can fine‑tune cadence and depth. Wear non‑slip shoes and sun protection. Bring water, snacks, and a camera. Many crews supply tackle, but ask ahead if you want to bring favorite jigs.

Before you go, check local rules. Make sure you have the right fishing license or permit. Review open seasons, size limits, and bag limits for the species you plan to target. Follow catch‑and‑release guidance where required, and stay current with local regulations.
