    Great trip

This is the third year me and my son have done a fishing charter in gulf shores and this one by far blew the other two out of the water. Caught 25 or more fish and 11 different types

    Excellent trip

If you're looking for a great fishing charter, I can't recommend Captain Kenny and Mate Joey enough. They are true professionals who give 120% to make sure you have a successful trip. Not only did they do an excellent job, but they are also just great guys and a lot of fun to spend the day with. The boat is in fantastic shape, complete with good air conditioning in the cabin to cool off. Truly a great time from start to finish—I would recommend them to anyone!

Over Licht materiaal vissen

Light tackle is a fun, hands-on way to fish with lighter rods, lines, and lures. It makes every bite feel bigger and every fight more exciting. Anglers choose it for the challenge, the finesse, and the chance to outsmart wary fish in clear water.

This technique can target a wide range of species in fresh and salt water. Inshore, anglers chase Redfish, Snook, Speckled Trout, Bonefish, and Tarpon. Near reefs, light tackle can tempt Snapper, Grouper, and Mahi Mahi. On lakes and rivers, it shines for Bass, Walleye, Pike, and Panfish. The right setup matches the size and strength of the target fish.

Light tackle uses sensitive rods, smooth drags, and thin lines for stealth and feel. Spinning gear is most common, but baitcasters and light conventional reels also work. Small jigs, soft plastics, plugs, and live bait are typical. Use a fluorocarbon leader for clear water, and keep knots clean and tight.

Expect lots of casting, quick strikes, and lively runs close to the boat. Guides often supply tackle and show you how to set the hook and fight fish. This style suits beginners, families, and experienced anglers who enjoy skill over brute force. Bring sun protection, polarized sunglasses, a hat, snacks, and any needed medication. Pack a camera, too—light tackle makes for great action shots.

Before you go, check local rules where you plan to fish. You may need a fishing license or permit, and certain species can have open seasons. Size and bag limits vary by area. Some waters require catch-and-release or special gear. When in doubt, follow local regulations and your captain’s guidance.
