Bobby Kimoto Charters 

Bobby Kimoto is a friendly, 4th generation fisherman who will do everything he can think of to give you a good day on the water. We saw a beautiful part of the world, talked about local history end biology, pivoted when conditions were challenging, we caught salmon and 4 types of rockfish and saw sea otters, sea lions and sea birds. Bobby showed us technique, took pictures, and found a place to cook our catch. A great day on the water.

On our 25th anniversary we booked a 6 hour day with Bobby Kimoto Charters. We met him at the marina at 8am and after the initial pleasantries the next thing Bobby said was, “This is your fishing experience and I want you to tell me what you want”. After that it was all about us. His knowledge of the waters around Tofino after spending his entire life guiding here was more than evident, as with more than an hour left in our 6 hour day, we were ‘tubbed out!’ Bobby would take us to one of his spots, drop our lines and within minutes sometimes even seconds it was ‘fish on’. He did this time and time again and we started to even be selective as, at the rate we were going we would surely catch more. The other thing that impressed us was his obvious love for this area and careful attention to protecting the habitat. It was a perfect day of fishing, under blue skies, no wind and Bobby’s guidance. We chose a beautiful day and also a wonderful guide. He was informative, helpful and very accommodating. We loved every moment! I would go again in the spring or summer.

It was my birthday and despite the time of year, weather, we wanted to try to get out for a day of fishing. Our fishing experience was well beyond expectations thanks to Bobby. It was very nice to be out on the water with someone who so obviously knows the waters like his own back yard. Bobby was giving us expert tips on the fishing and we all got to reel in salmon and later loaded up on prawns. Highly recommend Bobby if you want an expert guide, who enjoys fishing and sharing his knowledge, and just a likeable person. Thanks Bobby for the wonderful day, we will always remember it!

I’ve toured North America and spent time in many other parts of the world. Bobby is the best guide. My brother hasn’t fished before so Bobby kept us busy. He then spent time on salmon. Fuel was no issue. We were his priority. Our experience is what he loves for. A great guy, full of great stories and willing to share knowledge.

I can't say enough about our experience aboard Captain Bobby's fishing boat! He is extremely personable and you feel like family the minute you pull up to the dock. He is so knowledgeable about the area and where to go for a great day out on the water. It was my husband and I with our 10 year old son and we all loved every minute of it. From Salmon trolling to prawn trap checking to open ocean jigging, we did it all! We would highly recommend Captain Bobby for his experience and over all feeling of safety and fun! We are heading home with a cooler full of fish to enjoy and relive our fishing trip with each piece we will pull out of the freezer!

10/10 would recommend. Bobby went out of his way to ensure my wife and I had a great experience. Not only is he a great fisherman, he’s also a great host. We got into fish, caught our limit of prawns, and had a bunch of laughs along the way. Will be back.

We had a beautiful day on the water with Bobby! Fish weren't biting too much but Bobby kept our morale up and we ended up catching 3 salmons, plus a load of prawns and a couple crabs. Communication was great and smooth from beginning to end. Bobby is a super nice and knowledgeable captain, he will share his knowledge and make you feel very comfortable if this is your first time charter fishing.
