Windwalker II Charters 

Dont listen to the previous reviews complaining about a grumpy caprain. The only time we/you interact with the captain is starting the trip while he explains things and again at the end when he thanks you. He is up on the bridge driving the boat the entire time trying to find the best fishing spots. The first mate was incredible and very patient even after having to repeat instructions over and over. The back of the boat is covered which helps with the sun as well as providing hand grabs if the swells get big. We caught plenty of fish and made wonderful memories. Id go with this crew again tomorrow if time allowed.

This was our annual girls trip. we picked Destin to spend sometime at the beach. My son and his buddies had been fishing with the Windealker II crew & caught the heck out of fish. So we decided to book a trip. We had a great time. Captain Berno found great fishing spots. Mark the deck gand was very patient with us. We weren’t very good at reeling them in but got lots of bites. It was alot of work but also we had fun doing it. We ended up with nine fish. Not to bad for two old ladies 🤣🤣. I would highly recommend booking a fishing trip with the Windwalker II crew.

Highly recommend!! We had a group of 12 on July 1 for an afternoon 5 hour charter. We caught some fish trolling on the way out and a lot more once we started hitting individual spots. We caught red snapper, grouper, spanish mackerel and several other kinds that were out of season and we tossed back. The First Mate Mark was great with everyone and taught us how to use the rods and baited hooks very quickly, as most of us had never been out deep sea fishing before. Thanks Bernie and Mark!

We had a great time catching lots of fish, different varieties and sizes. Once at a spot, if we weren't catching within a few minutes Captain Bernie would move us to another spot so we had better chances at success. Bernie and Mark were friendly and very helpful when it came to instructing us on technique. It was a great and memorable trip. And we got to eat amazing fresh fish for days afterwards!

We had a blast, caught fish, laughed until we cried! It was a great time with this crew! We had several first-timers in our group, and they had a great time and had help with fishing line and bait each time. We caught red snapper, black snapper, and grouper along with lots of bonito too! We saw dolphins too!

Captain and deck hand were both fantastic. the waters were rough with 7-10 foot swells. caltain kept the boat on the fiah and boat deck worked his tail off helping to bring in the fish. Our group of 6 guys had a great time and highly recommend!

I booked this charter for my extended family, who had never gone deep sea fishing before. Half of us have been deep sea fishing for years. Mark, our first mate, was very Kurt and very demeaning when it came to the new people and how they were fishing. He had a tendency to raise his voice and yell over and over when someone was doing something wrong instead of going over and explaining how to do it correctly since they had never done it before. We were very disappointed in Mark‘s attitude. we did catch and release since we were leaving the next day. When we started catching fish,  we wanted to get pictures before he threw the fish back. Mark would unhook the fish and quickly throw them back in the water.  We had to tell him to wait until we took a picture. He seemed annoyed.  He is not a very personable person and need some of our teenagers and adults feel like they were clueless.  Overall, the captain, Bernie, put us right on the fish. We did have a great time pulling in lots of fish.  I would recommend this charter to a group that is not offended by a dry personality and already knows what they’re doing. This is not a charter for newbies.

As first time fishermen we really enjoyed the continuous support and attention. also, capitan was able to take us around better wave areas to minimize seasickness of some of us.

We had a great experience! The captain and crew we very helpful and patient as we were not experienced. We caught mackerel and snapper. Would highly recommend!!

Great experience with this crew. Mark was extremely helpful to us especially if you not super experienced! Hardworking crew and we caught mackerel and red snapper!
