    Great experience

Many thanks to Captain Billy, he responded quickly: we've booked the trip in the evening (6pm) and the next day early morning were at the sea. My parents never tried ocean fishing before, so it was important to do everything wright to get the right experience and catch some good fish. what we did. thanks a lot!

Giant Trevally, or GT, is a top saltwater game fish. Anglers chase it for explosive surface strikes and incredible power. Giant Trevally fishing often happens around reefs, channels, and shallow flats where these predators hunt.

Common tactics include spinning, popping, stickbaiting, and fly fishing. Popping uses loud topwater lures to draw aggressive hits. Stickbaits and large streamers imitate fleeing bait fish. Live bait and jigging near structure also work. Use heavy tackle, strong braided line, and abrasion‑resistant leaders to turn fish before they reach the reef.

Expect fast action, hard runs, and sudden direction changes. Trips suit anglers who enjoy active casting and sight‑fishing, but beginners can learn with clear guidance. Bring sun protection, polarized sunglasses to spot fish, a hat, water, and non‑marking shoes. Captains usually supply tackle, yet gloves and a long‑sleeve shirt help during long fights. Many crews practice quick photos and careful release to keep fish healthy.

Rules vary by location. Always check local fishing license and permit needs before your trip. Confirm open seasons, harvest rules, and any area closures or gear limits. If you plan to keep fish, ask about safe‑to‑eat sizes and local advice. When in doubt, consider catch and release to support a strong fishery.
