Captain Michael Ford specializes in Salmon and Trout fishing, running charters from the Hudson and Salmon River, as well as Lake Ontario. He holds both a USCG Master and New York State Guide License and knows all the sweet spots to land you a keeper.

Your boat for the day is 31' Rampage walkaround, equipped with top-quality navigational instruments, outriggers, downriggers, and a live bait tank. She accommodates up to 6 guests and has plenty of seating space to relax if you want to take a break from fishing. You'll also be able to unwind in the air-conditioned cabin or prepare yourself a quick meal in the kitchen. There's also an onboard toilet, making her convenient for those extra-long trips.

When heading out from Mexico Bay, you'll be able to choose between the Salmon River or Lake Ontario. Both locations provide plenty of fishing opportunities and you'll have your work cut out for you no matter where you go. Your main targets are Chinook Salmon and Steelhead Trout, but you'll also be able to target other species such as Pink, Coho, and Atlantic Salmon, as well Lake and Brown Trout.

Capt. Mike also specializes in fly fishing and has all the necessary gear if you'd like to give it a try. It's challenging but extremely fun to try and catch a Salmon or Trout with a fly rod!
