Island Angler Charters is a father-son team that specializes in inshore and nearshore fishing in the waters around Jekyll Island. Captain Andy Hicks is a friendly guide with decades of experience fishing the various inlets, rivers, estuaries, and bays along Georgia's coast. He caters his trips to anglers of all skill levels and welcomes you aboard for an exciting adventure!
Your boat for the day is a 23' Hydra-Sports center console, powered by a 250 HP Yamaha engine. She comes with top-notch navigational equipment, fishing tackle, a livewell, and cooler. The boat is spacious, accommodating up to 4 guests, making her perfect for family trips, business outings, or a friends' fishing getaway.
You'll have the opportunity to explore numerous hidden inlets and bays that dot the Georgia coastline. You'll also be able to fish estuaries and rivers that contain numerous fishing grounds for a range of species. The captain takes full advantage of this and will put you on the likes of Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, Black Drum, and Flounder.
Nearshore trips will see you targeting various Shark species, as well as Sheepshead, Whiting, Spanish Mackerel, and Barracuda. No matter which trip you choose, the captain ensures you'll have an enjoyable time on the water, chasing big fish, and creating lasting memories with your loved ones.
Captain provides high-quality Shakespeare rods and Penn reels on all of his trips. You'll also be supplied with live bait and artificial lures, depending on your target species. Your fishing license is covered by the charter and catch cleaning and filleting services are included in the price as well.

first ever fishing charter experience with my wife and small kids. caught a ton of fish for a 3 hour voyage. multiple species, multiple locations. Captain and mate made sure we didnt have to do anything but reel tight lines. we loved it.

I had the pleasure of climbing aboard the charter boat for the four-hour fishing trip. From start to finish, everything was expertly managed, making for an unforgettable day on the water with Captain Shelby as our guide. His extensive knowledge of fishing, especially around the islands, added so much value to our experience. Captain Shelby was skilled at navigating the waters and took the time to teach us about different fishing techniques and the local marine life.vibrant.\n\nThroughout our adventure, we were fortunate enough to catch several sharks, along with a variety of other fish. Captain Shelby ensured that we were involved in the action, making it a truly hands-on experience.The boat was well-equipped, comfortable. . Weather was not ideal but captain did his best to put us on fish. He knew area very well and tried many spots. Was great in keeping us safe in returning back to dock with rough waters.
Went on a four hour inshore charter with Shelby as a captain. He got us onto redfish at high tide and we had about 15 on the line had Nine nice keepers between 18 and 22 inches. Also caught one 27 in that we had to throw back. We then moved and went to two spots to fish spotted trout. Last spot was great and we landed three nice trout and one small flounder. Great day and great catch overall and Shelby was a perfect captain, very Knowledgeable, friendly And courteous. Would highly recommend booking with Shelby and/or his dad, Andy. Awesome trip!!!
We caught multiple sharks today and several stingrays! Toward the end of trip we trailed some shrimp boats and basically got a dolphin tour! Captain Shelby and Trey were awesome with our kids (5 and 10) letting them real in catches they hooked. It was the best day and I would HIGHLY recommend this trip to anyone wanting a more thrilling charter
