Capt. Jay Garcia Fishing Charter
Join Capt. Jay Garcia Fishing Charter and experience some of the best fishing in Texas. The state is famous for its inshore fishing and this is exactly what you'll be doing with Capt. Jay. Starting in San Leon, you'll sail the waters of Galveston Bay Complex in search of some rod-bending action. You can start your adventure any time between March and the end of October.
Capt. Jay will take you on a trip on his 22' Seahunt Triton vessel. This bay boat is perfect for the shallow waters you'll visit. On top of great design add the power of 150 HP Mercury engine and Lowrance GPS, and you'll find yourself on a rich fishing spot in no time.
Your main targets are Texan Big Three – Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, and Flounder. You can occasionally land Sheepshead and Black Drum by using light tackle and spinning. As a reward after the trip, you get to keep your catch and Capt. Jay will clean it for you.
You'll be provided with Penn fishing equipment and you'll catch live bait on your way to the fishing spot. There's fresh water on the boat but feel free to bring your favorite beverages and food. Don't forget to purchase your fishing license for the day. Kids are welcome to join if they are at least 5 years old. Life vests for them are provided, just contact the captain in advance.
Capt. Jay Garcia Fishing Charter is ready to take you out on the water and show you what Texas inshore is all about. Just choose how long you want to stay on the boat and book your spot.

Even before I stepped foot in Galveston I felt like Capt. Jay and I were old fishing buddies, although I hadn’t wrapped my fingers around a fishing rod in over 20 years! Before I left home Jay gave me a call and asked what I wanted out of this trip. I just wanted to catch some fish. There was no problem with that request. I had a bite within seconds of my first cast! That was the one that got away, but there were plenty more to come! I had no idea I’d be reeling in so many fish! “That’s a croaker!” Jay said as I actually heard a fish I caught croak. We released it to swim another day, but I was pulling in red drums that were measuring over twenty inches! After I caught my limit of red drums I reeled in my limit of trout. Wow! A guy could get used to this! Even if I had just caught an old tire and a couple of shoes, I still would have had a blast. Jay was full of stories, and we hit it off great. What a fun day of fishing!

Eddie, it was definitely a fun day on the water my brother. It was a pleasure meeting you, I’m glad you enjoyed yourself and where able to catch some fish and experience Galveston Bay. Thank you again for booking with me. I look forward to having you on the boat again. Capt Jay Garcia

Jay was super. He put us on fish in multiple locations and we took home several keepers. Also went “fast” when the kids asked if he could. Had a super time.

Jason, thank you for booking with me Sir. I’m glade you and your boys had fun and caught some really nice fish. Looking forward to fishing with you again. Thanks Capt Jay Garcia

Book NOW if he has availability!!! I promise this trip will be unforgettable. Caption Jay goes above and beyond to get to know your skill and fishing goals to personalize your trip. His communication is quick and effective!! The day of the trip I was running late and captain Jay was more than accommodating and patient. He makes you feel safe, comfortable, and confident when fishing. He is very engaging, and pulls out all the tricks to help you catch fish. You will fill like a more advanced angler at the end of your trip. I will definitely be booking again in the future, and would recommend him to anyone looking to fish and have a good time!!
