Get down to Gulfport, Florida, and embark on a offshore fishing adventure with Scotty J's Charters, a veteran-owned and family-operated company that is Federally Permitted for the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Launching out of Gulfport Municipal Marina, their location gives them quick and easy access to the prime fishing waters in the Gulf of Mexico. Out on the water daily, they keep a finger on the pulse and are always up to date on fishing conditions.
You'll be riding out into the Florida sun on a 2022, 30' Sea Hunt Gamefish center console with room for up to 6 passengers. Onboard the boat you'll find an up-to-date Garmin fish finder with twin screens, a chart plotter, radar equipment, 3 live bait wells, and iceboxes to keep your beverages chilled. There's also a flushable private toilet on board.
Depending on the season and length of your trip, you will fish for King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Amberjack, Cobia, both Red and Gag Grouper, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, American Red Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, occasional Dolphin (Mahi) or Wahoo, and much more. Depending on the species, this will be done by either slow trolling, drifting, or anchoring over wrecks with their On-Spot GPS anchor, using live, dead, or artificial bait.
All fishing equipment, tackle, bait, catch cleaning, and your fishing license are included in the price of your trip. Just remember to take some food and drinks along with you.

Wife and I booked with Capt Rich for a 4 hr trip while in the area for our anniversary. She’s never been on a boat on the ocean and her fishing entails catching a bluegill in a pond back home. Capt Rich was great. Bit windy but he was able to find good spots that didnt put us in rough waters while still giving us good fishing. Caught several fish, including a flounder that made for a good supper, and my wife pulled in a very nice grouper. First real fish she’s caught and she did awesome reeling it in (with a little coaching - thats Capt Rich). Great trip. I highly recommend fishing with Capt Rich.

We are locals and wanted to splurge and have a nice day on the water. Scottys Charter knocked it out of the park! Captain Rich and First Mate Scotty were so great, hilarious, knowledgeable and put us on a variety of fish!! two highlights were stud hog fish and the rare Mahi Mahi in the gulf. We will definitely be booking with them again! and we have done many charters - hands down the best!

Father’s Day gift for my husband, son and grandsons. They all raved about it! All experienced Atlantic offshore fishermen, they had never fished the gulf offshore. They caught lots of fish 😋 and had a wonderful day. Rich and Scotty were great. Patient and kind with the two nine year olds, who are ready to do it again next year! Thanks guys!!

We had a fantastic time. The captain and mate was very knowledgeable, friendly. we had a fun time catching fish and will definitely go back on their boat again. I feel that this boat would be good for everybody kids adults. If you want to bring your own baits like shrimp, you need to buy that prior to going on the trip
thanks for coming out with us. Your crew was a great group of folks to have out. On your next trip just let us know if you guys desire a particular bait and we will gladly provide it. today we went with the squid and live pilchards, but would have gladly substituted with live shrimp for you all.
If you’re ever down in St. Pete Gulfport definitely look up Scotty J’s . Great father and son Duo. Made my family’s day . It’s a trip my son and my wife will never forget. I highly recommend this Charter
