If you've never visited central Florida's famed Harris Chain of Lakes, join Basssoldiers and experience it firsthand! Your guide will be Simon Borja – an experienced captain who's been fishing for over 15 years. He spends every day on the water, and he knows everything there is to know about fishing these waters, so you can be sure of his ability to put you on the fish.
Simon will take you out on a 22' Nitro bass boat, powered by a 250 HP Mercury engine. The boat has GPS and a fishfinder, as well as a wireless trolling motor so you sneak up on your prey. It can accommodate up to 3 anglers who can fish at the same time, so it's perfect for an outing with a few friends.
As you can probably tell from their name, the Basssoldiers will take you out on the water in search of the Florida favorite – Largemouth Bass. You'll be fishing the waters of the Harris lakes pursuing big schools of Bass and Simon will stay on top of it to make sure you reel in some trophy specimens.
The crew uses only the best equipment, including Quantum and Abu Garcia tackle. From experienced anglers to novices, they make it easy for customers to catch plenty of fish. Most trips average over 15–30 fish on a half day trip, so you can expect some real rewards for your efforts.
If you're looking for a small family adventure, this is a great opportunity, as kids of all ages are welcome to join. Water will be provided, but be sure to bring snacks, a rain jacket, a cooler for your catch, as well as a fishing license.

Cpt McCoy put us on the fish! We fished a few of Cot McCoy’s honey holes and boy was it productive. Cpt McCoy is a great guide with years of experience as well as time on tge pro circuit. I absolutely recommend Cpt McCoy for your fishing needs in the Lake Weir / Lake Harris.
Simon did a great job of taking us to various locations based on the time of day. He explained the water topography and the behavior of the fish as a function of time of day. He patiently showed us proper technique and talked us through each of our catches.
Captain Mccoy was very knowledgeable about the fishery. He watched our retrieves and coached us on how to perfect them. He made it a great day of fishing.
Great guide, very knowledgeable of the area fisheries. Everyone caught fish! Highly recommend, will use him again.
