Capt. Mike made our fishing trip very enjoyable and special, we had family members from Georgia come together and enjoy catching stripes for the first time. What an experience we're also caught sea bass Looking forward to our next family Charter with Capt.Mike thank you.
Not my first time inshore fishing but first time for the others with me. Overall, it was an okay experience. we left in the afternoon around 1:35 or so because we were late (our fault due to traffic). The weather was perfect. First mate Antonio was awesome, very engaging and helpful. You could definitely tell he enjoyed his job. We made two stops in total, first spot was about 1.5 miles inshore and was a total bust with only a couple catch. For the first timers it was disappointing and discouraging. Second stop was better because Antonio picked up on the atmosphere and encouraged us all by joining in the fishing. He caught a couple and allowed my sister to reel it in. Very nice of him. That changed the whole mood and we caught few more afterwards. Captain Michael didn’t seem very enthused throughout the trip although knowledgeable about the trade answering questions posed, he also helped here and there. He did mention he had just gotten back from another trip, so maybe he was tired. Either way, we paid a lot of money for the experience and the expectations were not met. if not for Antonio, this would have been a complete wast of time and money. Our feedback, recommend not smoking with guests onboard, or at least enquiring if anyone was sensitive to second-hand smoking. Engaging more with the clients, especially the novice and first timers. Catching fish is great but it’s about the whole experience and demeanor . Would we go on another fishing trip? absolutely!! but probably not with this charter. Cheers!
