The captain specializes in fishing constant-action spots with a great potential of some keepers to take home and eat. No experience is necessary. Your trip can also include an island stop as well with a beach walk to look for shells or enjoy lunch you bring around Fort Desoto State Park and Shell Key Preserve.
Capt. Mahi Mike will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 2 to 6-hour trips, mainly fishing for Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Sheepshead, trout, sea bass, key west grunt, with the occasional redfish trout and Flounder, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 23' Pontoon boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers. This boat comes with an ice box.
All rods, reels, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Your trip will include all the necessary fishing licenses for the day. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip. Bring your own drinks and snacks and the cooler will be provided.

We booked a 3-hour trip with Mahi Mike and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. He’s so easygoing and great with kids—he knew exactly how to keep them engaged and excited, and we were catching fish almost right away. He struck that perfect balance of being super knowledgeable while still keeping things relaxed and fun. The 3 hours flew by and felt like just the right amount of time for our crew. We’d absolutely go out with him again.
