Depending on conditions, you might hook into Spotted Bass, Flounder, White Seabass, Bonito, Grouper, California Corbina, Mako Shark, Amberjack, Hammerhead Shark, and whatever else takes the bait. On the day of your trip you're likely to bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Capt. Gabriel will bring you aboard a 30' Baha Cruiser GL 300 Walkaround that can carry up to 8 passengers. It has a fighting chair, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
