Spend the day with Captain Terry Elliott owner operator of Scales & Tales Outdoors and get hooked on fishing the beautiful Winter Haven Chain of Lakes! The captain is a Florida native born and raised and has been fishing the local lakes for over 35 years. Not only does he fish these waters, he literally lives on the Winter Haven Chain in one of the surrounding homes allowing him unlimited opportunity to stay in touch with the fish.
These waters are known for Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Sunfish, and more – with any luck, it won't be long before 'Fish on!' You'll target your catch by light to medium tackle fishing, with artificial or live bait. Live bait is recommended to ensure you have the highest chance of hooking your personal best! (Live bait *Golden Shiners* offered at market price)
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll step aboard a 21' Phoenix 921 Elite bass boat that holds up to 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Terry has professional quality rods, reels and all other needed tackle for you, along with lures.
You will need to get a Florida Freshwater fishing license before the trip, unless exempt by state law. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), hat and possibly a rain coat. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Scales & Tales Outdoors!

I would gighly recommend, Captain Terry, literally 2 minutes in we all had fish in the boat, even though the conditions weren’t ideal he still put us on the fish our whole trip!

What can I say about this charter company!!! It's the best and that doesn't even sum it up. The captain Terry is so knowledgeable about different ways to fish and determined to put you on them. Today I took his recommendation and put the worm down and fished a rattletrap and wouldn't you know it i caught the biggest bass of the day! 5.5 lbs. Terry made time for me knowing it was my birthday and that I had just returned from Europe and knew I wanted to get on some fish for my special day as this is what I do on this day. Best experience ever learned alot about side scan and FFS. Thanks Terry I will definetly be hitting you up for another trip soon with the boys.

Great fishing! Terry was a great Catching( fishing) guide. Actually best experience I’ve had. Terry was great with my ten year old girl who actually caught the most and biggest bass. It’s nice to go out and know you are with someone who is going to get you on the fish! Looking forward to my next trip which is already scheduled.

O Capt. Terry realiza passeios a partir de Winter Haven, Florida, a bordo de um Phoenix 921 Elite Bass boat de 21', totalmente equipado com os mais recentes equipamentos eletrônicos e de pesca. A área de pesca está concentrada na cadeia de lagos de Winter Haven e no Lago Kissimmee. O capitão foca-se no achigã-de-boca-grande, bem como no peixe-lua-americano (também conhecido como speck), no shellcracker e na perca-sol. O capitão utiliza técnicas como a pesca com isco vivo, ou iscas artificiais como o lançamento de soft plastics nos nenúfares e na vegetação, lipless crank baits, chatter baits e swimbaits sobre a vegetação submersa, pesca à superfície com iscas de corpo mole e rígido, como rãs e whopper ploppers.
