Captain J Hook Charters – Cross 

Our trip yesterday with Captain Joe was a blast! I took my son, dad, and father-in-law for a late Father's Day and birthday present for me. We started fishing early around 5:00 a.m. We caught 3 big catfish first thing, and had a few misses. Then we went to a few other spots. There was very little time without catching fish. We filled 120 gallon cooler full within 3 hours. We had gotten our monies worth by 9:30 a.m. Captain Joe knows his stuff and was quick to rebate and take fish off. He kept the rods in the water the whole time. He was also very patient with my 12-year-old son and allowed him to do a lot. He is very personable and a extremely knowledgeable guide. His boat and equipment is all top notch. The boat is very accommodating, clean, and roomy. Communication was awesome and he is an all-around great guy. I already plan to book him again and would highly encourage you booking a trip with Captain Joe Dennis soon!

Absolutely awesome trip with Captain Joe! He was super knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience great for everyone, especially beginners. Even when the fish weren’t constantly biting, he worked hard to keep us on fish and made sure we had a great time the entire trip. I caught the biggest fish I’ve ever caught, and we brought in both stripers and catfish throughout the day. Captain Joe also had a great sense of humor and kept the whole trip fun from start to finish. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and wants everyone to have an amazing experience on the water. Highly recommend this charter, we’ll definitely be booking again next year when we visit!

Captain Joe provided us an excellence experience on the striped bass and catfish charter today! We got out there early and were reeling the stripers up in no time. After hitting the stripers hard we got on the catfish good! During the trip we spoke to other captains who were having a tough go at finding the fish which showed us Captain Joe really knew what he was doing. He was very helpful in guiding us on the proper techniques to use when setting and reeling the fish in. We filled the cooler and got back to the landing by 10am! We will be seeing Captain Joe again in the future! 100% recommend!

Man, I couldn' t have asked for a better way to spend my birthday out on the water with my two boys, making memories and doing what we love most. We booked a trip with Captain J Hook down at Santee and let me tell you he put us right on the Fish from the jump. It was action Rod bit real squealing and smiles all around. We ended up catching a bunch of rockfish and brought seven solid keepers home. The boys were fired up every time one hit nothing better than seeing them light up like that that's a kind of day a dad doesn't forget Captain J Hook was the real deal. He knew the lake kept us on fish, made the whole trip, easy and fun. No stress, just good vibes good laughs,and plenty of fish stories being made in real time. Captain J was excellent, had great knowledge, and put us on fish all day when other captains in the area were having a difficult time. We ended up with 19 fish. We had multiple times two fish were on at the same time, and even had a time three fish were all being reeled in at the same time. Captain J was early and prepared to go at our scheduled time. I'll be back with him in October for Striper season for sure.
