    (Family Fun Inshore Fishing)

    Good Times

Had such a great time the captain was thorough with explaining with us how to fish what fish we were catching and the scenery and area that we were in. Very proactive and personable. Also he knows music very well :-)

    Great time!!

Took my sons on a fishing trip. could not of been more pleased with Captain Norvin. He knew all the places to take us and we slayed the fish! I gave 5 stars because I couldn’t give more . Not only a great day of fishing but a great experience as well. Definitely recommend Flight Risk Charters.

    Excellent Charter

Captain Cole runs an outstanding charter. He helped us catch some really big fish. He definitely knows his fish and runs a very friendly and professional boat.

    Had so much fun

I sent my husband and his friend fishing for his anniversary gift. He still hasn’t stopped talked about how much fun he had: “felt like I was fishing with a buddy.” He’s excited to go back next year!

Sheepshead fishing is all about sharp bites, steady action, and hard fights on light tackle. These inshore Panfish have strong, human-like teeth and love to crush crabs and barnacles. Anglers target Sheepshead for their challenge, their tasty white meat, and the fun of picking fish off structure.

You will do best with inshore fishing around docks, bridges, rock jetties, reefs, and mangroves. Bottom fishing with small hooks, light leaders, and sensitive rods is key. Use natural baits like live or dead shrimp, fiddler crabs, sand fleas, or clams. Keep baits tight to the hook, feel for quick taps, and set fast. A short leader of fluorocarbon helps when the water is clear.

Expect a hands-on, tide-focused trip that rewards patience and touch. This is a great option for first-timers, kids, and anyone who enjoys precise fishing near structure. Captains often provide tackle and bait, but confirm what is included. Wear non-slip shoes, bring sun protection, and pack layers in cooler months. A small cooler for drinks and snacks is always smart.

Rules for Sheepshead change by location. Before you go, check local fishing license and permit needs. Review the season, size limits, and daily harvest rules where you plan to fish. If you plan to keep fish, ask your captain about current regulations and cleaning options.
