I started commercial fishing the bays at the age of 12, and have since worked on the water, running all types of vessels. I have been in the charter fishing business full-time since 1987, and I have been USCG licensed since 1982. I have fished over 4,000 paid charters and still love to see people catch fish! Our crew takes pride in our boat, customers, and catch. I would like to have the opportunity to take you and your family, or a group of friends, fishing!

The entire crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional from start to finish. What really stood out was how patient and helpful they were with our young kids. They went above and beyond to accommodate their experience level, made sure they were comfortable, and worked hard to get them on fish. Watching the kids catch fish and have such a great time made the trip unforgettable. We caught a great variety of fish, including Red Snapper, Mingos, and Mackerel, and the crew was always willing to answer questions and share their expertise throughout the day. If you're looking for a family-friendly charter with a professional crew that genuinely wants everyone to have a great experience, I highly recommend Cool Change Charters. We'd absolutely fish with them again.

We brought 2 adults and 6 kids, and it could not have been a better experience for our family. The boat had a nice inside/covered area which was perfect for the kids to take breaks and stay out of the sun when needed. The crew was incredibly patient, helpful, and made sure every kid had a chance to catch fish and have fun. They were great with families and made the whole trip easy and enjoyable. We made great memories and would highly recommend this charter to anyone, especially families with kids. We will definitely be back!

The time out on the water was exactly what we wanted and we appreciated Joe and the crew doing everything they could to get us on the fish and help us have a great trip. we caught a ton of spanish mackrel and a few red snapper. the crew were all great with my 11 and 6 year old daughters who now won’t stop asking about when they can go out again. i would highly recommend Cool Change Charters, you’ll be glad you did.

Viagem de 5 horas – Combinado • 6 adultos • 1 criançaHad a great time with Capt. Joe, his wife Cindy, and Deckhand Adam! Didn’t get on any snapper, but still caught a nice load of fish. My mom was excited as she hauled in a large Spanish Mackerel right off the bat. It was a great family outing, as the seas were calm and the cabin was nice and cool. Would definitely recommend this charter!

first timers
Viagem de 5 horas – Combinado - 7:00 AM • 7 adultos • 1 criançathis was the first time any of us fished in the gulf. much less on a charter. the deck hand adam very respectful even got a few fish on line for my grandson to reel in. we caught our limit on red snapper and caught a couple king mackerel along with some Spanish mackerel. it was a great day. my only complant is it wasnt long enough, but that is no fault of theres we got exactly what we paid for and more. my hats off to cool change . Hopefully i can book another if we come back.

Embora a época alta possa ter terminado, o tempo só está a melhorar por aqui. Sem mais chuvas, as águas estão geralmente calmas e a mordida é excelente, com Corvina-vermelha a testar a sua linha na costa, e Espadim em alto mar.

Fishing has been very good

Had a lot of short trips the end of June and this past week we have been catching Red Snapper on the 5 hr, 6hr, 8 and 10hr trips.
Trolling trips have produced Spanish Mackerel and King Mackerel.
We incorperate some trolling on all trips to get a mixed bag.
Limits of snapper have been caught on the longer trips. Most all the trips we catch enough to eat for everyone and then some. Been a great month.

Left the dock little before 7am and caught about 7 Spanish and our first legal king of the seaaon

Perfect 10hr trip

We left the dock and while catching bait there were a couple not feeling well. We went in dropped them off and headed offshore to fish. We ended up catching almost a limit of trigger fish, a limit of vermilion snapper and some white snapper. We fished for some mangrove snapper on some natural bottom and caught 5 nice ones, the last fish was a 28lb Red snapper we released to be caught again someday.

Inshore Redfish and Sheepshead

Had great trip Tuesday morning in spite of no live shrimp available we caught a couple of nice Redfish and lost about 6 more, these were over slot reds. Went to another location and caught some giant sheepshead on fresh frozen shrimp. We had fiddler crabs but they didn't want those for some reason. A great morning trip.

Afternoon triggerfish

Had a nice family group on board, seas were calm afternoon trip, we went bottom fishing for vermilion snapper and Triggerfish and made sure all the kids caught some fish. Beautiful day out there

Fun afternoon catching

Had a very short afternoon trip, the trolling fish haven't started biting yet this season so we went near shore bottom fishing and caught and released some nice Red snapper, big triggerfish and got to keep some vermilion snapper. Great time with a fine group.
