Capt. Dan Mcdonnell has been fishing for 25 years. He grew up fishing Lake Erie for Walleye, Perch, and Steelhead, as well as farm ponds. Then while continuing to fish our Great Lake he began fly fishing the Lake Erie tributaries and targeting other species like Smallmouth Bass, Pike, and Muskie. He can't wait to introduce you to the hottest fishing grounds around – helping you have fun while you reel in your dream catch is the best part of the job!

Captain Danny is great - friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. He proactivley updated us on weather conditions. He moved to multiple spots where we landed 15 walleye. The three of us were very happy with the experience which exceeded our expectations. I would go with Captain Danny again and highly recommend him to anyone interested in catching a lot of fish! Thank you!!

We had good success catching walleye along with a couple of other species. Dan was knowledgable about the area and fishing the lake. Highly recommend Midtown Fishing Charters!

His trip included the cost of cleaning fish and he did it with speed. I definitely recommend MidTown Carters and Captain Dan for your next charter.

Set out this morning at 6am and had lines in the water by 6:30. Solid and steady bite this morning trolling about ten miles offshore. Had our limit by 10am and set back to the dock to get the fish cleaned for our guests.

Saturday July 11th
The walleye fishing the last week has been incredible. Today we caught our 4 man limit in just under two hours. We made an 8 mile trip to the fishing grounds and it was non-stop action until we caught our limit and pulled the gear to head back in.

This week, 6/8/26, has been some incredible fishing. Catching the boat limit of walleye has been the norm. We are still catching them within a mile of shore which has been nice, allowing for more fishing time and less travel time.

The walleye were jumping in the boat today. Fished 53-57 fow N of the east light and the bite was fast and furious3 man limit in an hour and a half. Had time to run the clients downtown and show them the views from the water. Here's the specifics.
-dipsy divers and MI stinger spoons. Dipsys 3 setting 65 back
-kevorkian was the best color
-2.7-3.1 sog
-wind:non existent
-no waves
-sunny
-water temp:66f
-fish from the bottom suspended to 20'with the highest concentration being 35-45'

3 man limit in under 2 hours

Did a morning trip out of Cleveland and fished 54-43fow. Ended up with 18 fish and threw 6 back. The big girl was 30". Here's the specifics:
-Dipsy divers and MI stinger spoons. 3 setting 65 back and 0 setting 80 back.
-kevorkian and orange w/yellow tip were the best colors.
-water temp: 64f
-waves: less than 2'
-wind: ENE less than 10 knots
-water clarity: very clear
-trolling with the waves seemed to be better

Fished downtown Cleveland in heavy winds and managed 5 walleye, 1 being 31". Bandits 50-75 back. Speed 1.2 uphill. Winds NE 25-30mph. Water temp 54f.
